At 147? ODH wins. No question.

PBF would be on the defensive all night, and by the 4th round, afraid to throw anything but one punch at a time.

ODH's jab would not only keep PBF busy, but it'd punish and discourage him while ODH finds a way to land his hook.

And PBF would have no speed advantage.

    Floyd

i dont care if you take a 98 DLH and a 2020 Floyd!

Floyd is a master and he'd teach DLH like he is his little bitch boy

    This.

Oscar struggled with Quartey, Whitaker and lost of Mosley...all during his PRIME at 147lbs.

Floyd is a better pure boxer than both Mosley and Quartey, with similar size to both, better defensively etc...and he's bigger and stronger than Whitaker while having he same level of defense at 147lbs.

So you're saying, Sly, that PBF has an easier time beating ODH 98 than he did the ODH of the late 2000's? Is this your latest defiance of logic?

PBF already faced an over-the-hill version of ODH. So we're dealing here with an upper bound on how well PBF does against the better version of that, from '98. Only a groupie would fail to acknowledge this in a response.

DLH was in pretty good shape fighting Floyd.. not like when he was a zombie fighting Pac..

Floyd also has matured into a welter better now..

Floyd now IMO is better at welter than he was when he fought DLH.. DLH might be SLIGHLY better in 98 than he was when they fought but either way.. floyd whups him

Doesn't work like that. There are many intangibles to consider. I would argue that PBF wasn't at his best when he fougth Oscar. He was intimidated by the weight class and the occassion. He fought a safe fight which made it appear to be competitive (when it really wasn't...he won 8 rounds).

In an MM...we assume both are at their best, and at their best PBF beats any version of Oscar.

besides Floyd has shown the ability to step it up if he needs too. he didn't need to vs Oscar at 154lbs...because his approach was winning him rounds and Oscar was fading.

I thought the latest on PBF was that he was past it - on the decline, steep or not.

I guess it doesn't matter to the debate, though. If you're willing to excuse PBF's every imperfection and vulnerability as some sort of anomaly, and not a reflection of actual limitations, there's really no point in debating any of this with you.

Sly's idea of a argument: "PBF was initimidated by the weight and the occasion."

More likely explanation Sly is unwilling to entertain: "PBF was fighting ODH and not Victor Ortiz."

Hoya by unanimous decision and ILLU is right, Mayweather never would have gone up to 147 to begin with in this scenario

Dude.....you're my boy...but if Mayweather was a coward at the lower weights he would have never fought Corrales or Castillo.

Who said Mayweather was a coward at the lower weights? He fought good competition at 130-135, but since moving up from those division or since the Castillo scare he has been less than impressive with his choice of opponent...or very suspect in the timing of his fights.

Their actual fight showed beyond doubt Oscar would win with ease. I had it 7-5, a clear win for Floyd, but Oscar was completely shot. The same version was nearly killed by Pacman. Oscar was winning rounds jabbing PBF face off. Trust me, that Pygmy knew it which is why he is a professional ducker now. A shot Oscar took 4 to 5 rounds.Floyd is a better fighter, but OSCAR WAS too big in his prime.

Pacman did not fight the same version, but I tend to lean this way too.

That's my point though, he wasn't one down there

147 is a wasteland and that's why he decided to go up there

98 Oscar PROBABLY wins, but its not a sure thing. 98-99 Oscar had a rough time with Oba Carr.

Plus, 05 Floyd was quicker and had better reflexes than 07 Floyd.

Some of you guys are acting like 98 Oscar would dominate Floyd, which is absurd.

    It'd be a close fight.

Now, Trinidad I think would decapitate Floyd at Welter. I know thats gonna outrage many, because according to 95% of the forum, Tito was a bum.

I just think Mayweather is too smart for any version of Oscar. He's quicker, better stamina, and more adaptable.

Prime Oscar struggled with Trinidad, Quartey, Mosley, old Sweet Pea, and Carr.

I dont see him beating Mayweather.

Tito was a great Welterweight, not a bum at all. Very underrated. But, Stylistically, Floyd would "Corrales" him.

Get Floyd's cum out your mouth. For one, we're talking about 147, not 130. Second of all, even P4P, Tito was on another planet than Chico.

Young Tito was rangy enough, and had good enough handspeed and timing to nail Floyd with something big eventually. And I don't think Floyd's chin is holding up once that happens.

BTW - its HILARIOUS that you pick Floyd to "Corrales" Tito, yet you only pick Leonard to beat Tito via "clear decision". Proves how much of a shameless Floyd cock blower you are, and how biased you are to fit your agenda.

What welterweights has Floyd been in with that are even on the same planet as that quintet?

Take Oba Carr outta there. Floyd would have wiped his ass with Carr.

You have a point about the rest.
