Does anyone else here think that Floyd is going to "Gatti" Cotto?

I see a complete and utter stylistic mismatch.

I think that Floyd sees Cotto as enough of a threat that will cause him to bring his A game. So Floyd is going to be sharp and focused as hell. Cotto is shorter, with shorter arms, Orthodox (as opposed to Ortiz/Judah), slower hands and is rather hittable and vulnerable.

I actually think Floyd is going to fuck him up, big time. One-sided slaughter until Cotto's trainers or the ref steps in.

Cotto has no chance, and I think he'll get stopped between 8-10. However, a part of me hopes Cotto pulls the miracle upset. Because 1. He's a good guy, and deserves it. and 2. To shut you the fuck up.

Fraud F*ckweather takes the right opponents at the right time. Now that Cotto is a near zombie, Fraud F*ckweather decided to make the fight.

Cotto is about x1000 better than Gatti, the fight is 14 pounds up where that fight was fought, Floyd is not nearly as sharp and fast as he was back then so, no. Floyd should be winning though, but it will be closer and better fought than expected.

Cotto's alligator arms are the biggest thing that will get him destroyed here.

Even Castillo had longer arms than Cotto.

I think Cotto will give a good account of himself for the first 3-4 rounds. And Floyd will know he's in a fight.

But by the 5th round, I expect the fight to become one sided.

I think this will happen. I think Mayweather chose to fight Cotto rather than Pac for good reason.

In theory you're right, the problem is even though Cotto is a legit fighter, his style and attributes match up horribly with Floyd.

Agreed, short arms, shorter in height, and patient. Basically a dream match up for Floyd, those 3 factors mean Floyd will be in his element, and able to comfortably pick Cotto off as he pleases.

Reach goes a long way, especially against a faster, skillful guy like Floyd. One of the reasons Oscar had a lot of success against Floyd was just reach and a good job.

Unfortunately for Miguel he really has nothing to trouble Floyd. He can punch harder, but that won't mean much either, Floyd is hard to hit clean and has a good chin too.

You are on a rol, X. Keep it up. I think the way to beat Floyd is to outbox him like Rahman did to Tua, jab, jab, jab and jab again. . Not compairing them at all. I think staying on the stick and circling like he is Julian Jackson would fuck him up. His style, much like TONEY'S, is to draw you in and counter you especially at the higher weights. TO DO THAT, you would need some reach and footspeed. Cotto has neither. i AGREE With those of you who said it will be competetive for 4 to 5 rounds and then Floyd will tee off.

No, but I think if the 140 lb. Cotto would have fought Gatti Floyd fought, he'd "Gatti" Gatti

Once Floyd takes over it might look a little bit like the Gatti fight but it's not going to be from the opening bell. Cotto isn't a punching bag.

See this is what happens when the forum insists on labeling me a groupie/nuthugger.

If you're gonna do the time, you may as well do the crime. It bugs the shit outta you guys now.

You're a groupie. Plain and simple. You picked Floyd to give Tito the Corrales treatment, yet only picked Ray Leonard to beat Tito via "clear decision".

I didn't mean to suggest that Floyd would have stopped Tito. He wouldn't have. It would have been by wide decision with probably just one KD.

He is a hybrid punching bag. The "Cotto" model fights for 5 to 6 rounds and then turns into a punching bag.

Hopefully Floyd fights this fight in the pocket, cause I actually LOVED the way he was fighting against Ortiz.

Floyd robbed himself in that fight. Cause he was well on his way to brutally stopping Ortiz WITHOUT the cheap shot. Might have turned into one of his better performances.

Then again, Ortiz is a heartless bimbo and wanted outta the fight.

you still proudly display his avatar though against a guy who took a dive. You gonna whine when Cotto does f*ck all against Fraud?

Anyone who thinks Spinks took a dive is brain dead. So I'm not surprised you believe that.

Yeah, because a guy like Spinks who couldn't last 91 seconds is just far inferior to a guy like Buster Douglas who took a f*ckload more from Tyson's fists and actually fought back. LOL!

Spinks did NOT take a dive against Mike. Jesus Christ, I've heard it all now.

That aside, in NO WAY will Mayweather "Gatti" Miguel Cotto. Its not gonna be that one sided.

Cotto has skills and he'll give a good account of himself.

Floyd is just too good and has too many weapons in his arsenal.

    Mayweather via UD.

Yeah, easy to look good when you're handpicking walking corpses like Cotto, meathead no-talent mexicans like Ortiz, midgets from lower weight classes like Hatton and Marquez, and shot old men like DLH and Mosley.
Even despite how sh*t Pacquiao has looked in his last fight against Marquez, you'd think Fraud F*ckweather would have the balls to just make the fight and get it over with. Instead he continues hiding behind his twitter account taking stabs at Asian folk like a little cunt. And the FightBeat twats on here have no other boxer in the world to support anymore because the sport is in a state of sh*t so instead they have no choice but to cheer-lead Fraud F*ckweather since he's one of the last remaining black american 'stars' left in the sport.

I did hope that Pac's last fight would have given PBF the confidence he seems to lack regarding Manny.

Yep. You'd think after seeing Pac/Marquez that Fraud F*ckweather would've jumped at the chance to fight Pacman. Instead, he turned into an even bigger chicken sh*t cunt than he already is. F*cking Fraudweather and his dumbass fans! F*cking clowns don't even realize they're being had by this chump!
