Even though I disliked him in his time, gimme the mid 90's Hamed in this one.

morales is a legend but i think he'd have all sorts of problems with gamboa, as unproven as he is

morales over hamed all day, and at any point in time of their careers. gomez was heavy into the perico by featherweight.

could definitely see some losses here where one guy does not win over all other 3

The One CERTAINTY about Erik Morales is that he Got Hit...ALOT...

As Such, It's Hard for REED to have as Much Confidence as U Seem to have in Morales, Considering the Level of Hamed's Power...

On paper, Gamboa would be the favorite based on pure talent. In reality, it's tough to envision him employing the type of ring discipline required to run the tables/go 3-0.

Still, I see it coming down to Gamboa and Hamed.

Featherweight seemed to be Morales' least impressive run during his prime and just past it (122/126/130).

Gomez is arguably the greatest 122 lb. fighter of all time, but looked like a different fighter altogether the moment he moved up in weight.

Like Neil said, nobody would truly run the tables in this. Still, taking the absolute best featherweight version of each, I like Gamboa with Hamed as a close runner-up

i'll take hamed over gomez and gamboa although i can see morales beating his ass. hard fight to predict since morales got hit often, but i would imagine he'd fight carefully and win on points.

:atu: At Hamed over Morales. Please. Most absurd pick ever. Hamed didn't beat anyone even approaching Morales' ability. He got fucking clowned by Barrera. Jesus, it seems the space monkey is still hideously overrated to this day.

Morales would school Hamed every day of the week. Lest we not forget, Morales is the only fighter to convincingly beat Pacquiao at the higher weights, and Pacquiao is 1000 times the fighter Hamed was. When necessary, Morales would box more cautiously.

Morales is too rangey, too skilled, too tough, and just too good for Hamed to even have a vague chance against.

Morales would struggle with Gamboa, but he would still win.

Morales would win this one without a doubt in my mind.

w/all Due Respect, U're an El Terrible NUTHUGGER, Brother Mex...In Addition to that, U're a Noted HATER of Prince Naseem Hamed...In More than 10 Years of Posting w/U, REED has YET to "Hear" U Speak a Single, Solitatary POSITIVE Word about the Man...

So Quite Naturally, U'd See Hamed-Morales as a Mismatch...

Not Really Sure How the Hamed-Barrera Fight Reveals ANYTHING about Hamed-Morales...For 1, Barrera Got the BETTER of Morales TOO...2nd, Barrera Knew Better than to Stand & Trade w/Hamed...He SCHOOLED Prince...

For as GREAT as Morales is/was, his Defense was SUBPAR, Bro...Not Margarita Bad, but SUBPAR Nonetheless...Morales would HAVE to B Cautious for 12 Full Rounds, to Beat Hamed & REED Isn't Certain El Terrible is Capable of that...

    Not @ 126...

While all of this is true Morales was no bitch and despite Hamed's power Erik would have fired back at him. I ultimately think that's what discouraged hamed against MAB...early on MAB took a few heavy shots and barely blinked.

Morales managed to box well against Manny in the first fight and most of the second fight. I can see him fighting the same fight against Hamed. The difference being Hamed being so unorthodox would have settled in and only looked for the homerun punch.

Hamed never beat anyone as good as Morales...Morales beat several guys better than Hamed. Hamed's relegated to a punchers chance here.

Barrera was VERY Disciplined in the Hamed Fight...His Guard was HIGH & TIGHT Throughout & he Really Didn't Take Many Chances, from REED's Recollection...Prince Rarely if Ever Hit him FLUSH...

Morales Beat Several Guys More TECHNICALLY SOUND than Hamed, but Several Guys BETTER???...

To Be Clear, REED IS NOT Suggesting that Morales CAN'T Beat Prince...Terrible is MORE than Capable of Winning & It SHOULDN'T B a Surprise to Anybody if it Hppened...

But REED VEHEMENTLY Disagrees w/the Notion that Morales Beats Prince EASILY...Sorry, but that WOULDN'T Happen...

Well I can't disagree with either of those things brother REED, the thing is, as I'm sure you agree these days I'm objective enough to pick with my head, I've grown out of my teenage picking guys just because I prefer them.

But despite Morales' silly bravery, and propensity to brawl, I would have bet money on him beating Hamed all day. He'd get clipped once or twice sure, but he'd also box the shit out of Hamed and take his heart due to his own offense and bravery and jab and counter punching and footwork.

Hamed wasn't just outboxed by Barrera, he was scared, intimidated, and made to look inept, which resulted in him basically fighting to last the distance hence his post fight statement of "At least he didn't KO me!".

And despite Morales' apparent love of getting hit, up against the best offensive fighter of this era he did manage to contain himself apart from the 12th round, and fight smart.

Let me rephrase that....... no such thing as an easy fight for Morales against a quality opponent.

JuanMa fuckin blows. Morales would sodomize him in a one sided fight.
