    It was a while since I saw it but I recall finding it funny for the first 5 minutes and then NOTHING. Not even a chuckle. And no it's not him, he's okay. Plus he didn't write the lines he's saying so it's not like he makes or breaks the movie for me.

    go get the movie, watch the first 100 mins, accept that the ending is indeed formulaic and yet doesn't detract too much from the quality of the movie as a whole, then come back to FB and write a self-critical essay titled: "I realise that 'Meet the Parents’ is an extremely high quality example of a romantic comedy, with great writing and comic acting, especially from De Niro and Owen Wilson."
