Rios vs Gatti

I figure we've been too harsh on Bam Bam. Let's give him this MM. Rios would have brutally stopped Gatti within 7.

 

He would have fucked Gatti up bad.

Too powerful and Arturo would have brawled like a dumbass.

 

Gatti is live within the first 5 rounds. You cant rule him out. Rios is wide open and Arturo would be landing serious bombs. The longer the fight goes however you gotta favor Rios.

Give me Rios via brutal stoppage late

I'm as big a Gatti detractor as there is, but I fail to see what Rios has accomplished to really distance himself from a Gatti level fighter. He has not fought a single guy as good as Gatti.

 

How can anybody be a Gatti detractor. The dude was a great fighter to watch. I never understood the myth that he was overrated. He was exciting. There weren't any Gatti fans hyping him to beat Mayweather or Tszyu. People seem to like Katsidis even though Gatti was a better version of him with power. GATTI WAS a low level world level fighter at best, but fun to watch.

 

There were a number of Gatti fans on the forums back then who said he would beat Tszyu.

Gatti was better than Assidis though, I'll give you that much.

 

if it was scheduled at 135, rios would've missed weight gatti circa gamache fight would somehow make weight but baloon up to 160 the day after, so he wins via KO. at 140, i'd pick the version of gatti that wasted dorin to win.

i guess rios beats the lightweight version that got busted up by manfredy and robinson.

 

Honestly. I don't remember that.Gatti always seemed to have my haters the way I remember it. I don't remember anyone making predictions like that ever. I never missed a prediction for a Gatti fight including Baldomir.

There were definitely a few. Maybe not a "number" of fans. Perhaps I'm thinking too much of that shameless Gatti cock licker Steffano, who would ALWAYS say Gatti would KO Tszyu.

 

I'm pretty sure a few people picked Gatti to beat Floyd. Gatti is one of the most exciting fighters to ever live.
