Yep. We will really see Hop's age here. However, I'm praying that Hopkins is on the recieving end of an uncontroversial clear K.O following a few rounds of domination by Dawson.
What I will hate (besides the boring-ness), will be the excuses/ complaints that we'll have to endure from Hops afterwards.

    I predict more controversy.

Hopkins could teach Italian soccer players "simulation" at this point.

:l1::l1:True. People who are watching to see Hopkins brutally beaten are hoping for the least likely scenario. Hopkins has no dignity. He is a street thug. The only thing he has learned to do to is trade in his crude strong armed robbery skills for a more sophisticated hustle. He has made money for years without fighting. HIS ONLY GOAL is not to get stopped. He will either stink his way to a loss and if he can't find any way out.

Whip him like he did a certain Haitian Frog?Dawson hasn't whipped anyone ever.He got donkeypuched by Pascal and he could do little more than bore the shit out of everyone when this retard fought the senior circuit before defeating Tarver and Johnson x4 yet never whipping either of them in 4 chances. DAWSON has one single decent victory over a totally weight drained Adameck who nearly stopped him late despite having no energy. Saying Dawson is good is dumb even by your standards.

For what it's Worth, Dawson was PURSUING & CLOSING the Distance vs. Bernard, Moreso than he Does Against Most Other Opponents...Something about Bernard IRKS Dawson & Seems to Light a Fire Under his Otherwise INDIFFERENT Ass...

That's GOOD for Boxing Fans & BAD for Bernard...1 of 3 Things will Happen:

    1. Bernard Gets Completely Outclassed for the 1st Time Ever...
    2. In the Midst of Getting Completely Outclassed, Bernard Catches & Ultimately Finishes the Chinny Dawson w/a DESPERATION Punch...

    3. Bernard 1nce Again Jumps @ the 1st Opportunity to GET OUT Of the Fight...

    REED's Leaning Towards #1...

& Hopkins Hasn't Flirted w/Being KO'ed Since the Mercado Fight...A Last Ditch, DESPERATION Counter Isn't Completely Out of the Question, Especially Considering Dawson's LESS than Stellar Chin....

REED Could See Dawson w/a Big Lead, Trying to Finish the Old Man & Getting Caught w/Some Bullshit...

I hope Dawson systematically dismantles Hopkins in a fashion leaving fans calling for hopkins to retire. I also hope hopkins is beaten to the point he leaves the ring embarrassed and refuses an interview.

I don't understand the hate for dawson. Hopefully, by retiring hopkins, he will gain some support..

Hopefully Dawson can beat him up for 11 rounds than get a 12th round KO. Hopkins needs to be retired.

i dont think he'll take a beating, but i could certainly see him retiring from a 'knee' or 'shoulder' injury, claiming that he hurt it during training. either way, i expect a jeer of boos from round 1 to whenever it ends.

I doubt he is smart enough to do that. He would look as confused with the complexities of a washrag as he is when and interviewer says in clear English "Hello, Chad." He looks like a young man was was kicked in the face by a donkey and never recovered. The only thing "BAD" ABOUT Chad is his I.Q.

My problem with Dawson is that he fights like he doesn't give a shit. He bores the shit out of fans with his indifferent attitude in the ring.

What I hope happens is that he gets a fire lit under his ass and goes and actually FIGHTS like he's supposed to do.

    Hopkins needs to be retired.

True but Dawson will get back up and continue fighting. I gained respect for him in the Adamek fight when he got buzzed then got up and fought rather than run and hold.

Same in the first Johnson fight...he was buzzed a few times and chose to stand and fight rather than run.

Dawson by mid-to-late DQ or yet another no-contest. Either way, fight doesn't go 12 and once again fails to provide a conclusive ending.
