What do you think ? What's next for him ? Retirement ? Ward @ 168 ? Martinez @160 ? Or maybe a cruiserweight title ? I don't think he will retire. He can still easily get two big fights for some good money. Plus somebody with an ego like his it's not easy to tell yourself you don't have it anymore.

i dont care to see hopkins fight again, but

the guy lost to dawson who is the top light heavyweight.

though he stunk it out and did everything in his power to make it a non fight, he still wasnt completely dominated. he is still a top 5 -10 light heavy and he'll keep going

Ridiculous. Hopkins was completely dominated. That is how is has built is fraudulent legacy. He stinks out the joint and fights so negatively that nothing happens. I have often thought they should build anti-negativity into the scoring. He won't retire and with his illegal style , I doubt he will ever get kayo'd. He knows that mental midgets(and actual midgets) like Neil will say stupid things like "he wasn't dominated" even though he fought in abject fear for most of the match.

Just because he's the p4p best spoiler in the game now, he shouldn't be indulged with tv spots - all he will end up doing is souring the profile of an up-and.comer, make an all-action fighter turn in a forgettable bout etc...I've given up on the possibility that one of these young guys might lay him out...just get lost hopkins

he's a stubborn guy who likes to get paid. if he can make 2 million plus in each outing and loyal philly/AC folks are still willing to go see him, why not continue? from his perspective, it makes sense especially when he's competing with the very best and not getting his ass kicked like he's supposed to at his age.

glen johnson's old too (5 years younger than bernard?) and he continues to fight against the best but more recently has been shut out. he makes a lot less than bernard, but i dont hear anyone calling him for retirement. same goes for tarver.

Hopkins has a very negative fighting style which is part of the reason he's been able to fight for so long. he's basically taken the Klitschko model and tweaked it to fit his game.

I haven't wanted to see him fight in years.

    Hell no.

I think he will get another surprising win before he retires.

Hopefully he will get KO'ed brutally. I always felt he was smarter than Roy so I'm thinking he would realize that is a good time to stop.
