Who's Watching? <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tTSGpqrqNGg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
My whole family is looking forward to watch it tonight. I hope is good enough so we can watch the next two installments. Good to see Kevin Costner playing a heavy for a change.
Part 2 was awesome. Tonight's last chapter will be a blood bath between the two clans. That Hatfield young guy surely had the hots for all the young McCoys females.
Im in the middle of the first one. Damn this is good. Costner is great when he is on his game. Westerns are definately his thing.
Never understood the flack he got throughout his career, just because he made a few bombs. Must be the most maligned "solid actor" in the business.
Given good material or the right character he's excellent. He's just been in some crappy movies. Most other actors are forgiven for that, for some reason he's not. Maybe he hasn't been in rehab enough, or he doesn't mix with the right people..........I don't know. :dunno: He can play against type and out of character to. Saw him recently in "The Company Men" and didn't even realize it was him until the credits.
I dont give him too much grief at all. Just stating that he isnt always in good stuff. He has the potential to be an all time great, but his focus is everywhere. He needs to stick with what works for him.
It's kind of hard to turn down crap movies when they're throwing multi millions in your face. It's the exact reason Eddie Murphy gave of why he signed on to do Best Defense, and all the other crap movies he's done.
Costner is an unbearable egomaniac and a horse's ass, which has something to do with why a lot of people don't like him
Costner is always great in period pieces. He was really good here. I predict some Emmy nominations. Bill Paxton was good too. And Tom Berenger was pure gold. Terrific actor who has been out of the radar for way too long.
nah... I can just tell these things. The guy is frail, a glee club singer, a chess player who is insecure.
unwatchable. The dialogue is so,so bad. I watched 10 minutes and turned it off. Every actor sucked ba.
Just finished watching this last night. I usually cannot stand Kevin Costner, but this was the perfect role for him and he was excellent in it. The first part (of 3) was the worst, but it picked up nicely in parts 2 and 3. The battle at the end though was just sad (in the pathetic sense of the word). I thought the best scene was when Devil Anse (Costner) took his son out fishing Ala Michael/Fredo.
