The Pac-Bradley Verdict is Arguably THE Most ABSURD Decision REED's Ever Seen, in his 36+ Years of AVID Boxing Fandom...Giving Bradley Every Conceivable BENEFIT of the Doubt, he Won 3 Rounds MAX...10-2 or 9-3 Win for Pac, Without Question...

It was SHOCKING just how Comprehensively Manny Pacquiao OUTCLASSED Tim Bradley...Make No Mistake, Bradley's a "Proper" World Class Fighter, yet Pac Made him Look SLOW, SLOPPY & UNIMAGINATIVE, like a Club Fighter...Manny had ZERO Respect for Bradley's Ability to Hurt him & As Such STALKED Bradley's Ass @ Will, from the 2nd or 3rd Round Onwards...Pac's Straight Lefts May as Well have Been LAYS Potato Chips, Because Bradley COULDN'T Eat Just 1...

Quite Possibly Manny's FINEST Performance Since the Cotto Fight in 2009....

REED Watched Pac-Bradley in a Crowded Sports Bar & the Scoring of the Fight was Such a FOREGONEfuckingCONCLUSION, 3/4th's of the Patrons Left PRIOR to the Cards Being Read...As Soon as the Final Bell Rang, the Vast Majority EXITED the Building....

Upon Hearing the Scores, REED was Initially Alarmed by 115-113 Across the Board & the Fact that the Decision was SPLIT...Nonetheless, REED was STILL Caught Off Guard when Buffer Said, "Aaaaand NEW!!!"...Soooo Much So, REED Figured the Scores were in the Wrong Columns & Would Be Corrected...There was just NOfuckingWAY a Judge Could Get THIS Fight Wrong, Nevermind ALL 3 Judges, Right???...

But just as REED's Boxing Mind Started to Veer Towards Doom & Gloom, he Noticed that the Controversy was Being Discussed BEYOND Boxing Circles...Barely 30 Minutes After it Ended, REED Personally Heard Pac-Bradley Noted on ESPN Radio, Yahoo Sports, 1 of THE MAIN Stories on ESPN's 'Sportscenter" & Other MAINSTREAM Outlets...This Thing is Being TALKED about, Fellas...GOOD May Come of it Yet...

For those that Haven't Seen it Yet, if U Just IGNORE the Final Verdict, Pac's Performance Itself is WELL Worth Watching...

Good point. Hardcore fans decry the death of the sport while casual sports fans perk up and take interest.

It's a much bigger story now than a one-sided verdict for Manny against an opponent not known in the mainstream.

I honestly can't see giving Bradley more than 2 rounds, on second viewing. I agree with you REED, Manny made him look like a mindless clubfighter, just swinging away.

Literally this minute I just finished watching a 60fps High Definition copy of the fight on my 51 inch plasma, and it only exacerbated my feelings from watching it on a stream last night - Bradley landed fuck all.

Bradley won round 10 clearly, but I felt generous giving him round 11, in fact according to compubox, Manny landed more even in round 11.

For those of you who gave him more than 2 rounds, I think you're simply scoring punches thrown. He landed almost nothing clean, literally, he was just mindlessly wailing away half the time, sloppy hooks flying past Manny's face.

    You're right again, REED.....

I was so pissed, and I was rooting for Bradley! I called the national Fox Sports radio show at 4:30am est. Obviously, the host did not know much about boxing even though he tried to throw out the Ike Quartey/De la Hoya fight as an example of a possible crooked decision that was saved by De La Hoya's late "Rally".

Anyway, I was telling him about past horrible decisions and how this was a make up decision because of the last Marquez fight.

But the coup de grace was, this one caller called up and blamed it on OBAMA!!! Are you fucking kidding???? He tried to make sense of it by saying Pac's comments about gay marriage came out after Obama's most recent flip flop. He went on to say how the re-match was on November 10th, right by the election and Obama needs the votes!! Hey, SCOOBY!!!! Huh!! :jaw:

My take is that it's probably good. The top of the sport had been in a 3 year stall while Manny and Floyd danced around each other without ever fighting.

Now a rematch with Bradley gives Manny the most meaningful fight possible short of a Mayweather fight. It's a fight the casual fan will be talking about because it's not just Manny or Floyd facing another over-matched contender. It's Manny out for revenge against a guy that robbed him.

PianoDude, search piratebay for Pacquiao, and it's the 720p, 60fps copy, 3.79 gigs. Well worth it.

I think Cotto was closer to winning his fight with Floyd than Bradley was to beating Pacman. Arum has openly said that he doesn't care what hardcore fans think because there are probably 3 thousand of us in this country and another 3 internationally. Arum knows this fight will get more press. All he needed was Bradley to remain standing.

I don't think there will be a positive "reverse" affect from this robbery. Mainly because of the comparisons between boxing and MMA. Listen, there was already damage done to the sport by the inability of Manny and Floyd to come to terms. Now one of the 2 best fighters in the sport gets robbed?

It just perpetuates the notion that boxing is corrupt. There are BS decisions in MMA too but Manny is icon, its just more visible. This is more indirect promotion for the UFC, Dana White is somewhere giggling right now. The dynamics of MMA allow the best to fight eachother because there are really no rival promotions and White controls everything.

Its decisions like this that will drive casual fans away from boxing.

Like they may have left after Ali/Norton III or Don King's ABC heavyweight series, just to come back in time for the Tyson phenomena?

Boxing is not in anywhere near the same position of mainstream popularity as it was at that time... you can't compare the two

Yeah. I blame the PPv barrier for that 100%. There are sports like baseball & Horse racing that probably declined naturally as times changed but boxing isnt one of them. It's gonna die of quick buck overdose with a needle in it's arm

Nothing good comes out of a ridiculous decision. All the talk would be negative and further turn people off the sport.

The only sense I can make of this is the following:

Manny bypasses on the rematch...Floyd fights Bradley and wins Manny's title...then Floyd and Manny get together and the storyline is the fight but Manny gunning to get the title wrongfully taken from him.

(granted, the above won't happen because Bradley is with Top Rank)

Mayweather and Floyd dicked around too long and the fight lost steam.

Teddy Atlas was on ESPN saying he thought this was Manny's last fight with Arum and the decision was/is corrupt.

Honestly...I'm loving this. Fuck Manny and his bullshit idea that he's somehow a prophet and fuck Floyd...let him rot where he is.
