He'd have to fight him to know. Nobody thought he would lose rounds to Cotto either.

Not at 154....a weight were Cotto didn't have to kill himself to make weight for lil Pac.

Mayweather did it with skills, Pacquiao has 99 problems...a busted bitch, a religious problem, promoter who sonnes him anytime he gets out of line, Ariza holding his skills in little doctor bag....

Cotto was struggling to make 147? Since when? I didnt see this anywhere. He went to 154 to get a title. It wasnt because of weight.

Look fuck NOVEMBER for a rematch.....Pacquiao won the fight easily...I say have the rematch in August ...or at the latest September.....then Pac can fight again in December....

Time will be wasted....5 months for a rematch we all know the outcome for..?? NAH fuck that, Pacquiao is scared of Maywether there is no doubt he can't deal with the skills counter to his face like rain drops in the middle of a thunderstorm....Pacquiao is a WII yah he might be fun and innovative, but he can't fuck with Xbox360-PS 3 coolness of Mayweather, or the sheer raw skills of Mayweather PC's graphic card, CPU, motherboard....to simulate Hanzy Floyd got too much dick for Pacquiao....8-4....9"-3"....

The rematch is useless......but if it has to happen it needs to happen immediately. Why wait till November?

Are you really comparing Cotto to Bradley?

Pacquiao and Mayweather I'm a fan of both, but it's really like/dislike thing.

If they ever fight I would hate Mayweather because he will likely retire undefeated. For years he use the steroids excuse(not so bad considering Pac is probably on something) for not figthing Pac....and avoided Cotto, Margarito and Williams back in 2007-2009

Don't like Pacquiao because he uses steroids....40 million is not enough but he has never made more than 20-25 million for any given fight...

If he went to 154 to get a title, why didn't he just come back down after? And why wouldn't he make Margarito fight him at 147, instead of wrangling over a catchweight of 150 and agreeing to 153?

Because what was he going to do at 147? get his ass kicked by pac again? His home was now 154. He couldnt compete at 147. Not because of weight, but because he couldnt beat the champ.

You are assuming shit with back. You have no proof. You make no sense. and 40 million is not enough when all of the PPV is going to your opponent. It's bullshit. That being said, Pac agreed to the testing.

When can we stop pretending that Cotto was ever any sort of an unbeatable monster?

At no point in his career was this guy any sort of a dominant fighter.

He's only lost to 2 of the best fighters ever, and a guy with concrete gloves.

    He'd school Bradley.

You seem to forget those two fights where he was shaken to his core. In fact he only survived the Corley fight'because Corley didn't know what the hell to do when Cotto was hurt

If it made no difference, why didn't Pac just fight Cotto at 147 then? :dunno:

I'm kind of with Illu here. Fuck both these guys. I'd have a hard time rooting for either one if they ever actually fought each other.

They've both been holding boxing hostage for years.........catchweights............purse disparities .................lawsuits.............. distractions ............ posturing ................fuck them!

You know what their plan really is? They'll drag this out as long as possible and then have a going away party for one big payday when they're both too old to fight anybody else.

PPV will cost about $99.95, they'll both coast for 12 rounds and laugh all the way to the bank, regardless of who the judges tell us won the fight.

I'm supposed to feel bad because one or the other is only gonna make $40 million for the fight..................or because Pac is afraid of needles, and thinks he's gonna be cursed by the Filipino God of Crucifixion if a tester shows up at his camp 9 days before the fight instead of 10.

    :shit:

Sure he was hurt, but he came back to win legitimately.

Cotto has been underrated for years. He's never looked like a spectacular beast, but he's a great, solid little fighter, with good all round skills etc.

I don't know about school, but the idea that Cotto may be able to beat up a Junior Welterweight.............doesn't impress me a whole lot.

Right, but they're still the 2 best fighters to watch in the world, by a big margin, and however annoying they are out of the ring, they're both very much worth watching in the ring.

He was drained and fragile at 140, when did you see him have chin problems after that (see the discussion on this in the Cotto vs Tszyu thread).

Aside from that, it's important to note that weight aside, styles make fights. I said before the fight that Cotto would trouble Floyd more than he did Pac. Cotto is good at forcing boxers into fights. I said this 2/21/2012, months before the Cotto/Mayweather Jr fight:

Sounds like Mayweather vs Corley. You really going to fault Cotto for that?

It's a psychological advantege IMO. I really dont pac would have trouble with cotto at 147, especially with how he handled margarito at 150.

I will root for Pac. Mayweather is the one offering him 0 PPV revenue. Even Reed admits Floyd dont want to fight pac.

Cotto himself says making 145 for the Pac fight was no problem. I guess the Floyd fans know better than the guy who actually had to make the weight though.

He made zero excuses after the fight and has never blamed the loss on anything other than Manny whooping his ass. What ever though, people will believe what they want.

For the record I think Floyd would have no problem with Bradley, and Pacquiao would still beat the shit out of a 154 pound Cotto.

I think Pacquiao/Cotto at 154 is a different fight, but I'd still pick Pacquiao. It would be closer and I doubt Cotto gets dropped.
