I agree. 99% of the people had Manny winning this fight by a wide margin. If I were Manny Pac I wouldn't even go through with a rematch.

 

I haven't seen it but I plan to watch the HBO Latino feed the first time out. My spanish isn't good enough to catch what the broadcast teams says.

A more effective suggestion would have been to watch the fight with the sound off and your eyes closed, that's the only way you could possibly find Bradley to be the winner.

 

Bradley should just shut his mouth, the world isn't going to change their opinion of the fight and he's just making people dislike him even more.

I am usually pretty good at tuning HBO out, often clowning their ridiculous "angles." This fight was pretty clear from a casual viewing. It was a dominant victory for Pacman. Even a 115-113 for Pac is a shit, shit score. Reasonable people can disagree,but not in this case. It is like saying the earth is 6,000 years old. It is so retarded it is beneath a person to discuss it in a reasonable fashion.

 

Agreed. This isn't one of those fights where the minority may have different views on how/what should be scored. There's no objective way to have this fight for Bradley though. No spin can can right the wrong. Whether Manny was going forward or counter punching he was landing all the telling blows.

The 6000 year old earth point is good. It reminds me a bit of when Dawkins was asked about why many scientists won't bother debating creationists and their ilk. He said it would be like a reproductive biologist debating someone who was advocating the "stork theory" on where babies come from.

Depending on Floyd's release date, they should just go for the Pacquaio fight and Manny should agree. No need for straight rematches for Cotto or Bradley, but Floyd should definitely fight Cotto again in 2013.

pac deserved the win, but i think it,s way closer than most have it. The hbo stooges were awful as always.

O.K. I'm gonna fess up.

I watched it a few days ago, (prior to this thread & any talk of bias commentary), with the sound off, & gave Bradley every bit of the benefit of the doubt I could, and scored it a draw. Pac never got hurt, and did shake Bradley 2 or 3 times. Also , Bradley landed mostly on Pac's gloves, but Pac really didn't do a hell of a lot in there himself.

I know some are saying that Pac looked good, but to me he didn't look near to the fighter of a few fights ago. He's lost the intensity, and looks like he sruggles whenever a guy fights in a strategic retreating & counterpunching style. At times he hits his gloves together, leans in & gets countered.

I know I should probably watch it again, but I probably won't because for me, it wasn't a good fight. A bit frustrating.

Manny won the fight,...but looked like shit doing it. Maybe thats the reason he got fucked. In any case, that fight, the fighters and the judges = They oughtta pay us $59.95 to watch that SHIT ! And that is exactly what that sixty dollar card was.......shit

Nevermind the deception of an Hbo broadcasting team. We have writers and judges pushing Orwellian logic: losing is winning.

 

Agreed, it's so unbelievably patronising and annoying.

To tell the truth, my mind usually switches off and blocks out the commentary unless Merchant is talking, it's just a drone. I am not remotely influenced by the commentators, and I'd like to think most of you aren't either.
