I was surprised Chavez's chin seemed so strong. Chavez's shorter punches were the difference. Lee loops his hooks too much, and Chavez's always got there first.

That was a fun fight...I'm a fan. Only thing that sucked was the stoppage...might not have made a difference but you gotta let the guy try to fight his way out of trouble - his hands were up, he was moving a little bit, and he just came back from the dead to rally and win in his last fight.

    Stoppage was right on time.

    I don't think Chavez/Martinez is a mismatch.

Chumpez has a good chance of beating Martinez.

Maravilla isn't the same fighter he was 3 years ago.

Ya gotta love fuckin Top Rank vs GBP.

Chavez vs Martinez will be on PPV the same night as Canelo-Ortiz.

I'll order Canelo-Ortiz, and wait for the next week replay of Chavez-Martinez.

same here, Canelo-Ortiz ( wich is a solid matchup ) would need to have a stacked undercard for me to pick it over Chavez-Martinez. Hell, if HBO had some balls, they would basically forced Top Rank and GBP to put the 2 fights on the same ppv

Chavez is certainly better than Martinez's recent opponents, I don't think it's an easy fight for Martinez as I previously thought. Chavez is much bigger too.

Any Lee couldn't hurt junior at all. Junior mocked Lee during that fight too with his reactions to being hit. I hope junior/Sergio happens. I'd love Serg to spark him out.

Martinez by late KO is my pick, but Serge could be in trouble if Chavez's chin holds up better than any of his other opponents.

As hard as Martinez punches, bear in mind Chavez is a huge middleweight, I think Martinez will have to land a LOT of clean shots to put a dent and stop Chavez.

Chavez gets spoon-fed again. Is he really fighting Martinez? That would be a really big jump for him.

The biggest surprise of the fight was Lee being ahead on all 3 judges cards

Maybe everyone was a bit scared given the huge backlash from the Pacquiao fight, and they've decided to lay off the corruption for a few fights.

Amazingly Lee didn't get any point deductions either.

I still fancy sergio to out work junior to a points decision, but junior definitely has a chance.

Outwork? Sergio doesn't really outwork anyone, he's a potshotter/counter puncher. It's Chavez who outworks people.

Yeah, that's what I meant  I think sergio will be too cute for him, he's not too easy to hit either as he has an unusual style, but sergio certainly wouldn't be a clear favourite as Darren Baker made him look ordinary.

    Junior didn't show me anything.

Martinez will give him a beating and flatten him, providing junior is man enough to fight him, that is.

I dont agree with a of the Chavez "iron chin" talk. I just think that Lee's power is very overrated. He throws arm punches and has very little leverage on them.

Arum will say that He can't make the fight because of Canelo and Ortiz fighting the same night.
