Froch fucks him up. So does Kessler. Hell, Junior wouldn't even beat Bute.

And Ward would give him a 12-0 thrashing.

I'd go with Froch in a clear win, but a fun fight... He's got the size, the gumption... I think it's more than enough

well, I'll make it more specific for you, faggot.

Psychology, confidence; these are important factors in any fight. One of Froch's biggest strengths, as important as any of his physical attributes (his strength, his stamina, his durability) is his confidence. Froch fights like a man who believes the other guy can't hurt him. He believes that in a firefight, he will come out on top. He is not easily intimidated.

Chavez Jr.'s style is based on pressure, on the ability to impose his brawn on his opponent, to force the opposition into throwing more punches to keep him off, deter him. However, as was the case with his father, it often has the opposite effect... The opponent, in a frenzy to try and back him off, becomes reckless and creates defensive openings for Chavez... this is where you see him landing the hook to the body, the wide open hooks to the head (he must have landed two dozen of these last night on Andy Lee) ... The biggest difference between Chavez and his father, besides the clear demarcation in talent and comp, is that Jr. doesn't really have much of a straight right hand... This was, I believe, his father's best and most consistently trustworthy weapon (even if some prefer the hook to the liver) ...

Now, ask yourself this... in Sr.'s absolute prime, what fighters typically gave him the most grief? Guys who went to him instead of away from him and were determined to try and push him back... I think of Meldrick Taylor, whose blinding hands and ability to get off first consistently frustrated Chavez for a good 9 or 10 rounds of their great fight... Chavez thought Taylor would backtrack, but he came right to him, got in his grill and went to war, ultimately betrayed by his lack of serious power... Juan LaPorte (who typically lacked self-confidence and often failed to believe in the serious power he had in his hands, especially in big fights) threw caution to the wind and brawled with Chavez, again giving him one of his most difficult fights... To a lesser extent than those two, Rocky Lockridge also gave him fits with his confrontational style...

I think if there is one thing that is absolutely true between both of them, it is this: that they want to be pursuing, pushing the action, forcing the pace, they do not like to have someone trying to push it on them, as it disrupts the rhythm that both find essential.

When I say Froch has the "gumption", I am saying he is the type to see a man coming at him as a sign to meet head-on, try and push the other man back, because he believes he can push anyone back; he has that arrogance. When I think of Froch's size, strength, stamina, his odd-but-effective combination punching and workrate mixed with that belief that there is no way Chavez can push him around, I like his chances in a big way.

Junior wouldn't have his usual size/strength edge over Froch. And he doesn't have the firepower to hurt Froch.

Carl would back him up, and beat the shit outta him.

Froch would beat the living shit out of him. Froch make doubts surface. He'd give Junior such a hiding that Junior would be asking Conte for his money back. Juniors difficulty urinating would suddenly disappear.

Chumpez Jr. is tailor made for Carl. Speed/slickness gives Froch problems, not slow/methodical pressure fighters like Chavez, who lack a big punch.

Let's not overrate this goddamn Andy Lee win.

Froch would hospitalize Andy Lee in less than 3 rounds.

MMA fan or not, I know you know better than this, you have to.

Frock would destroy Jr. Chavez might have some outside chance against the small, old Martinez, but he would get fucking streamrolled against Frock.

I have been a Chavez Jr. fan for years. When EVERYONE on here was calling him a scrub, i said he showed skill and will be a champion. The guy is now a champion and has improved and continues to improve with every fight. If the fight with Froch ever happens, i will be picking Chavez jr to cut off the ring and pound froch in the corner all night.

Chavez Jr shows enough skill that I've picked him in all of his fights so far. He doesn't show enough skill that I'd keep picking him in fights if he stopped fighting crap fighters.

Yep. In a fair fight in a neutral setting I would take Sergio... but it's worth thinking about if the bout takes place in Texas.

    Some credit is due

He's better than I ever thought he'd be

But he is clearly a cheat with a cushion of big money protecting him from the rules

In today's landscape, he's not horrendous, he can make some noise. I think Martinez is definitely good enough to beat him and if he doesn't beat him, he's worse than even I say he is.
