Great quotes but unfortunately Silva still needs to stop the power double to win the fight. If he does, I do feel bad for Chael. He will take a terrible beating.
If he really is pissed and not selling a fight then it's probably bad for Silva. As I recall he's 14-0 in the UFC when he's not emotionally all over the place and he's 0-0 when pissed like this. I would stick with the former if I were him.
Yep...The FACT is, Sonnen COULDN'T Even Beat Silva on PED's, so He's Getting WAXED in the RE...Silva by VICIOUS TKO, Round 3 @ the Absolute Latest... REED:cheer:
REED's Guessing Some of that Power will Be "Strangely" MISSING from the Double... REED's Expecting a PLETHORA of Hand, Elbow & Knee Strikes to GREET Sonnen on his Way in, as he Attempts Takedowns...Strategically, Sonnen's EASY to Prepare For...Not Many Wrinkles in his Game... REED:mj:
No he won't, he has to stay within the accepted limit which is 6:1 in Nevada. He was fucking 16:1 the first time. A normal human is 1:1 If you think that didn't help him, you are out of your mind.
Sonnen was 16.9 to 1 when he tested for the first Silva fight and the CSAC allows 4 to 1. First of all, Sonnen WILL STILL be fighting with the aid of PEDS. Second, if he passes his pre and post fight test, his level will be <= 6 to 1. I am curious what Anthony means when he says 'Sonnen will have the same amount...." The only way that is true is if he fails another test, which will be hard to do since they are testing him regularly leading up to the fight.
It's funny what a failed drug test, criminal conviction and a TRT exemption will do to a fighter's fan base. Going into the first Silva fight I wanted to see Sonnen pull off the win. Now, going into the rematch, I hope Silva delivers a 25 minute beat down. For the record, I still think Silva will struggle with Sonnen. With or without the illegal testosterone levels, Sonnen's wrestling is something Silva just hasn't had to deal with in his career. And the unfortunate thing for Anderson is the fact that Sonnen swallowed his pride and has been working with a new BJJ coach.
Holy fuck, a normal human is 1:1 and he was SIXTEEN to 1? No wonder he manhandled Silva for 5 rounds. If he's not testosteroned up, I expect Silva to give him a beating. Like Trpl said though, he could still struggle with his wrestling for a couple of rounds.
Ha Ha.. I literally almost choked from laughing when I read the highlighted part below: Oh hell no. Tell me Seagal didn't teacher Anderson Silva 'the special stuff'...... Poor Chael.
Sonnen had the best night of his career the same night Silva had the worst of his. And he still lost. I think Silva's gonna toy with Sonnen until he feels like ending the fight. TFK
You must mean Brian Stann, because I thought he lost to Bisping. I have no idea though. They don't report anything if he's within the limit, Ca is 4:1 and Nevada is 6:1, I don't remember where the fight was.
I hear what your saying but he can't toy with a guy that can take him down at will. It would be naive to think Sonnen's ability to easily take Silva down was about anyone's good night or bad night. It's just as much about Sonnen's wrestling skill being heads and shoulders above anyone Silva had previously faced. And please, no one say Dan Henderson. Henderson, at that stage in his MMA career, wasn't even in the same ballpark as Sonnen from a wrestling standpoint. I think Silva wins because 25 minutes in a cage with Anderson Silva gives him way to many opportunities to end the fight. But he can't toy with Sonnen.
Stann-Sonnen was in Texas. This event marked the first time Texas drug tested fighters in an MMA event. They only tested 4 of the fighters on the card, and Sonnen wasn't one of them.
The Stann fight? That would explain why Sonnen looked so good in that fight and like shit against Bisping.
Don't take it as money but I'm pretty sure you have it wrong. CSAC allows testosterone to epitestosterone ratio of 4-1 ( 6-1 maximum in some state commission ) if you are natural. It's pretty much a given that Sonnen T/E level will be the ratio they were for the first fight, just that he'll have an explaination for it, TRT. It's only his testosterone level that will be required to be in the normal range
Silva is going to embarrass Sonnen. Sonnens problem is that he is not a finisher. Against Silva, this allows too much time for Silva to finish the fight.
Yep. I suspect he's not emotionally all over the place, but just playing along to make some more money.
