Can you picture him as superman? <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7VdONYkKFmQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I'm in. I love fantasy and greek mythology and shit! Looks like they've bastardized the stroy of Theseus though...but Hollywood is known for that anyway.
Fuck his opinion. I'm tellin you its a good movie. My fear was it'd be on the same level as 300. But its ALOT better.
I loved 300,,,,dunno what you're talking about. Anyway my brother recommend it to me previously....and that's good enough for me.
Just watched it. It SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!! Whoever said that this was better than 300 needs their head examined. WARNING SPOILERS!! I found the gods to be disappointing, sadly. It was a clever and unique touch to have them look so young...as immortals wouldn't age. But I didn't like this "immortals can kill immortals" nonsense. Immortal means "CANNOT DIE". But this wasn't a big issue. However, I didn't see Zeus use his thunderbolt once. What's Zeus without his patented thunderbolt? Hermes was interesting (assuming that was Hermes who Zeus killed). I liked Poseidon flying down from heaven to the ocean (reminiscent of God of War 3). But I didn't like that the gods and titans were both human sized. Titans were all male and grey mindless zombies who were physically indistinguishable from each other. Tartarus was merely a mountain..and not a particularly large one at that. When the gods and Titans were fighting it didn't shake the earth and the cosmos....in fact it barely shook that one mountain. What was teh whole purpose of theseus? Just to protect a group of people from Hyperion's army? In the previews I thought theseus was the one mortal who could help the Gods...I thougth it was a spinoff of where Hercules was the one human that could protect the gods from the Giants. The gods didn't need theseus at all. In fact they had the power to prevent Hyperion from freeing the Titans and inexplicably didn't! Once the Titans were free, it was the gods war..theseus wasn't even part of that battle. Also theseus only owned the bow for a short space of time. bottomline is: theseus was irrelevant! LOL Mickey Rourke did a good job though. Evil king. Hammering that guy in the balls made me whince. Imprisoning those women in the cauldron bull was terrible. The Virgin Oracle couldn't act to save her life...but she was ridiculously sexy. When she took off her clothes I wasn't to jump into the screen. but I digress... Entertaining film..but too loosely based on Greek Mythology for it to satisfy a GM connoisseur such as myself. I mean they relegated the whole Theseus vs the Minotaur in the labyrinth to some big man with a bull helmet in a mini maze in his home village. LOL
Very disappointing.....boring....boring and more boring. I force myself to watch the whole thing thinking something good might happen...NOTHING. Mickey Rourke sucked as the villain....the GODS were ASS...the entire movie was SHIT... 300 was much better....not even close.
This movie sucked a big cunt. Crap film. Only cunts would watch this sh*t. Waste of time. Although the main dude Henry Cavill is playing Superman. And Freida Pinto is pretty hot although it's pretty cool she's getting by in Hollywood without having to do much acting. Basically eye candy. Most of the time she just stands there, speaking in one tone with a look of worry on her face. No real character depth in anything she's done so far. Living off the fame from Slumdog it seems and getting roles. Totally expendable.
I just caught this movie the other day on Netflix. I didnt think it was as bad as some here said. I actually rather enjoyed it. I think Mickey Rourke was clearly the best in the movie and he did a good job. I thought the story was very interesting and entertaining. Not as good as 300, but fun nonetheless.
The only value it has is it being filmed in 3D. Picture is one of the best I've ever seen. Almost every scene looks like a postcard shot. @ Sly - Freia Pinto is THE shit (lookwise) and her acting is much better in slumdog millionaire.
