::::You are no gentleman, X. You aren't just kicking a man while he is down(or semi-down and moving around like a drunken fawn) you are pissing on him too. If Khan made it to round 3, I'd be surprised.
Pryor TKO 5. Khan's length, hand speed, and movement would allow him to stay away for a bit but not for long. Sooner rather than later, the Hawk would bring him down.
no fucking way is Khan going 5 rounds with that chin against a guy who throws 130 hard punches per round in a wild array of unpredictable combinations
Khan's handspeed is the most overrated speed in history. And people underrated how fast Pryor's hands were. He has no speed edge over Pryor.
I say 5 rounds because I think Khan would have more fear of Pryor than he did Garcia or Prescott, and thus he wouldnt press the attack against Aaron like he did against those other guys. Regardless, he aint beating Pryor.
And like I said, overrated handspeed. I've never seen this great handspeed in Khan that his groupies see. He looked fastest vs Zab, who's not nearly as fast he once was. Khan isn't even the fastest handed fighter in the sport. Gamboa, Russell, and Berto all have faster hands than Khan.
Khan's handspeed is good when you factor in how shitty is punching technique is for a pro fighter. In slow motion you see how wide and looping his shots are. In spite of that, he usually gets there first.
I think Khan is lightining fast, and way faster than Pryor. Still, he's not lasting more than 5 rounds against pryor
Khan's problems are not physical. They are technical and neurological, a bad blend of issues to have when confronting Pryor. Freddie would be pumping Amir full of Freddie's pills after the fight to try and save his life. It would be like "Hmmm, try some Stalevo, here comes the airplane, open wide" and Khan would be ling around like a spazzo as Freddie tried to pump pills into him. Freddie would be like "Don't worry about the shakes, I get them all the time, and you don't need to remember your own name either, people already know who you are, and besides, you will never be as handicapped as Brando Rios so enough already".
Khan downs Pryor early and tries to stay out of trouble but likely loses a decision due Pryor's better workrate at close
I don't see Khan quite winning but he would be the best guy Pryor ever beat, considering that Arguello and Cervantes were past their primes
As you may know, I've always hated fencepost boy, but his handspeed is legit. Clearly faster than little Gary, and to be honest faster than Pryor too. Gamboa and Berto have the edge in handspeed over Khan.
Cervantes was "past prime" but he was not shot... Neither was Alexis. I hate when people say that bullshit. Cervantes beat a top ten 140 pounder in his next fight... Alexis came out of retirement after the awful beating in Pryor II and beat a top ten guy as well How many 140 pounders would you have picked over either of them back then, excepting Pryor? Pryor was an absolute beast and one of the most unique offensive fighters in history. He consistently beats probably 99% of the fighters in history ever to weigh 140 pounds for a fight
Some like to refer to Arguello as a "blown up Featherweight" and other such nonsense when trying to knock Pryor, but he was actually the best Lightweight in the world before moving up to face Pryor and was the favorite going into their first fight.
