USA TODAY: Roy Nelson, Shane Carwin to be 'The Ultimate Fighter 16' coaches by John Morgan on Jul 12, 2012 at 5:45 am ET (This story appeared in today's edition of USA TODAY.) Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight contenders Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin will serve as coaches on the 16th season of "The Ultimate Fighter," and they'll meet in a season-ending fight in the show's live finale....
Big Country's Come FULL Circle....He's Gone from Being Perhaps Dana White's MOST HATED TUF Contestant, to Being a COACH... Viva FAT Man... REED::
What a great fight. Two guys that are tough as hell with great chins. The problem is that Nelson really doesn't want to prove his chin versus Carwin. Despite having the whiskers to take big shot from JDS, Cro Cop, Mir and Werdum without getting knocked out, I think Carwin is a different animal with his punching power. Roy better hope he can avoid Carwin's big shots like JDS did and tire him out.
While it WON'T B Easy, REED is Fairly CONFIDENT Nelson Wins this Fight...JDS has BETTER Stand Up than Carwin & On Top of that, if Nelson Can Get Carwin to the Ground, it's Probably a WRAP... REED:hammert:
Carwin has excellent power. He doesn't have the delivery, timing, or speed that JDS has, but I'd bet he has more power. Roy doesn't want to taste that very often.
Exactly. But the point is that Nelson GETS hit. Everyone touches his chin. Against Carwin that's bad news. JDS had the boxing skill to absolutely box circles around Carwin. He managed to avoid any big shots from Shane. Nelson doesn't have that ability. He will get hit, and he will get finished. Well, the big question will be rust for Carwin. By the time this fight happens it will have been a year and half since Carwin last fought.
Someone will get injured that will be that. But if somehow some way they fight. Carwin knocks him out hard.
