Don't remember if this bout has been mentioned on here or not. Can Alexander avoid the power shots for 12 rounds?

    What a laughable lamentable fight.

If Alexander can't shine his way to victory in this one, then he might as well retire. Mike Jones. Oh man, Kermit Cintron, where have you gone.

Mike Jones is definitely right up there as one of the worst 'future stars' ever.

My first memory of Randall Bailey is reading about him in KO Magazine in May of 2000. My last memory of him was when he was blown out in 2 rounds by Cotto. Just how he made the transition in that period to getting rid of Mike Jones is beyond me, because for all intents and purposes, Bailey either is, or is approaching, shot.

Alexander got major credit for doing something Amir Khan already did, in outpointing Maidana, he better not fuck it up here. If wants a redemption shot vs Timmy LaTesta, this is it. I would stay up to watch that fight, just to see if Devon was able to get his shit together this time.

alexander should be able to stop the 3 time champ. i'll probably miss it live to see the ward-dawson match.

cotto did not stop the 3 time champ in two rounds either. it went to around the midway point of the fight before it was stopped. if bailey had john david jackson training him earlier in his career i think he could have done better. al bonani is a joke of a trainer, in the norman stone mold.

I stand corrected. Cotto did indeed stop him shortly before the end of the 6th. I apologize to the 3 Timer.

Delivered some awesome KO's, including one over Superstar Mike Jones, which is more than ScrubbaZander has ever done.

if bailey had a legitimate trainer like jD jackson earlier on, i think he would have beaten hurtado and julio. as it stands now i had him beating ishe smith and ndgoujo

My biggest knock on Alexander is basically quitting with a fairly average injury vs Timmy LaTesta. Stylistically he is garbage but its not a hedgehogs fault he can't run fast. He showed vs Urango, that he can stand and bang when he wants.

Memphis, baby! Closest I've enjoyed to a "home" game for a major fight card in years.

Matthysse-Olusegun should be a primitive slugfest.

He is simply not very good. I was 99.5% sure Bradley would win, I couldn't believe people actually saw it as a big, compelling matchup. Alexander is boring, and completely average at world level.

i thought bradley would win but to say it was 99% is ridiculous. alexander had shown some skill in previous fights

Devon should be forced to change his last name from "Alexander" to "France" or "Italy".

I am not exaggerating, I just had a higher opinion of Bradley than most, and a lower opinion of Alexander. I thought he was incredibly overrated. His KO of Urango - an average opponent - was impressive, but that's the only time I've been remotely impressed with him.

I thought Bradley was on a different level to Alexander and the fight proved that.

    Yeah

Not even to big myself up as a master predictor, because, well, it was obvious. And Bradley WAS still the favourite wasn't he?

I'm just amazed people thought Alexander would win, that's all.

Alexander the Fake lacks something mentally, but he has the skills to compete with anyone at 140-147 not named Floyd, or Pac.

At 147, I'd pick him over Ortiz, and Khan with confidence. I'd probably pick him over Berto as well.

Then you still overrate him like crazy. He is nothing at this level, he should have lost 3 of his most recent 4 ffs, I thought Kotelnik and Lucas beat him pretty clearly, especially Lucas.

I would pick Ortiz and Berto over him for sure, I would even pick Khan over him.

If Randall Bailey can survive a sparring session with our very fucking own powder then Alexander ain't got nothing for him.

I want Alexander to get beat...but he won't. Bailey is shit and easily gives up(not a la Ortiz) but in his mind he gives up and stops trying, most times he doesn't even try. Easy boring victory for Alexander.

Bailey kinda gave up against cotto and corley. Other than that I don't think he gave up in any of his losses. He dropped or hurt all of the other guys who beat him. The first corley fight is what makes me think alexander should outclass the 3 time champ

I've missed a lot of Xander's last few fights including the Bradley one but I did see him impressively KO Urango and impressively dismantle Maidiana. I guess I understand the hate so many have for Xander as it seems he disappointed them so much lately. But his team said he had a problem making weight and fighting at 140. Seeing as how he probably looked as impressive beating Maidiana at 140 then at any other time I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

Also anyone picking Berto over Xander is just hating. Berto sucks fucking ass, and I'd pick Xander over Berto by a mile. Randall Baily probably has more of a punchers chance of beating Xander than Berto does of just winning period.

Zero time champ, Randall Bailey. He's never been top 5 in any division he was in. Boring as shit too, except for the Hurtado fight which he lost and fell down in tears. Continue.
