    The 68 year old director jumped off a Los Angeles bridge last in an apparent suicide.

    For those not familiar with him he was the brother of Ridley Scott and directed such films as Unstoppable,Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, True Romance, The Last Boy Scout, Crimson Tide, Enemy of The State among others. He was the producer of many other movies and tv movies and mini-series like The Andromeda Strain, Pillars of the Earth and the upcoming A&E miniseries "Coma".
