That's because he is nothing at elite level, like I've said for years. This is what happens when he fights his first, prime, elite fighter - he gets dominated as expected. Such a horrible fighter, jesus, just fucking stands there like a gimp. Ortiz > Doorson.
He's being outboxed and outclassed, he looks the same as usual, it's just Doorson being his usual, gimpy self.
Half asleep and not all there, as per usual. Just looks like he's going through the motions. It's amazing the guy has had as much success as he has really. Negative creep he is. What's interesting is even when he does try and fight, he can't really do anything with Ward. He's not good enough.
what is more maddening with Ward, is that he can fights on the inside as he did in that round. He just seems to be happy to just clinch most of the time
Honestly not in this fight, not much anyway. Doorson looked fine at the weigh in, and now looks the same as ever, he's simply up against the first prime, elite fighter he's faced. Ward is much better.
Have you seen Doorson fight before? Have you seen the Pascal fight? Doorson usually "just can't seem to throw punches".
I don't believe it is the weight at all This man does not throw punches when he's in there against guys he can regularly hit The difference tonight is Andre Ward
I feel vindicated. I've said for fucking years Doorson is nothing at elite level, and this fight proved. What a horrible fighter, I hope he stops being shown on TV. Ward isn't very likeable, and is half down syndrome, but he's a fucking good fighter :bears:
Pascall is an explosive puncher who would trade with Dawson everytime he tried to open up, and usually rocking him. That's waht made Dawson reluctant. But tonight, he made Ward, a light puncher, look like Tyson in the power departement. is his chin so bad ? We know it's not granite but this bad ???? To me, it looked like the weight took out something from him
Exactly, I mean surely these guys have seen this plank fight before. I can't believe it would surprise anyone that Doorson doesn't throw many punches.
That's really what is the big red flag to me. I don't remember Ward hurting anyone in the super six. Even Allen green
I've never had a high opinion of Dawson but I was shocked at how he gave up after the knockdowns. Congrats to Ward. He might be the best P4P fighter in the world, now.
I think Ward is very clearly the best fighter in the world. Pac and Floyd are NOT as good as Ward at this point.
To me it just looked like he was getting hit with fast punches he didn't see coming. Looked like the same old soulless Doorson, I think he was just taken by surprise by Ward's handspeed, accuracy, and the frequency he was being hit.
