In one the worst box office weekends ever, Resident Evil: Retribution took the top spot with $21.1 million. This is even lower than all previous Resident Evil entries, except for the first one. Finding Nemo (3D) came in second place with a 'MEH' $17.5 million, a far cry from last year's The Lion King 3D $30 million re-release. Maybe they will stop re-releasing classics in this format...here crossing my fingers. In a distant third place The Possession added $5.8 million to its vault for a total in three weeks of $41.1 million. Lawless slips to the fourth spot with $4.2 million. ParaNorman continued its way down with $3 million barely beating The Expendables 2 by a small change (also $3 million).

The Dark Knight Rises finally exited the top ten list with $2.1 million, but it was enough to secure the ninth spot at the All Time domestic box office chart, pushing Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace out of the top ten list.

Wait for video dude, trust me. I can't believe the good score that shit has on IMDB but I thought it was the worst one in the series. Even my girl didn't like it and she's a diehard for the series. Lots of messed up details that piss you off, like zombies dying from getting their necks broken and people standing out in the open in full fledged automatic rifle fire fights and not getting shot. The acting was very bad as well. Wasn't a horrible movie but isn't worth seeing in the theater IMO unless you love 3D.

Shit films. The games have some serious kick ass stories and animations, and the films have been so utterly bad in comparison.

I like the Resident Evil films as the disposable popcorn cheap thrill they are. I always wait for it to air ob HBO, Cinemax or Showtime. I don't even bother to rent these films.
