Right, we all know Jackson was a devastating puncher and that he faced some excellent boxers throughout his career, but he would not have faced someone like Martinez, stylistically.
Martinez obviously relies on his athleticism/movement to attempt to frustrate his opponent and he throws punches from awkward angles, but how would his style match up against Jackson's?
Obviously, Martinez would have to fight a perfect game plan in order to avoid getting knocked out, but is Martinez's movement good enough? Can he engage and get out without getting caught by something big?

I am expecting the likes of cdogg to burst in here like a rampaging bull and demand to have this thread abolished

Sergio's defense isn't good enough to handle Jackson. He could make it awkward for a while and even win some rounds but he's still getting knocked out. Only chance i see him having is if were to land a surprise bomb like he did against Williams.

Jackson catches him eventually with something big and I don't see Sergio surviving.

I'd say Martinez starts fast, sticking and moving and landing some quick shots but Jackson would find the range and level him off with a big right hand and that would be the beginning of the end.

    Jackon KO 7

If we assume that Martinez knows who he is facing and knows Jackson's reputation as puncher, he might not drop his hands as carelessly as he did against Barker or Chavez. Just sayin

I'm sure he'd be a bit more careful but dropping his hands that way is just his natural style. I don't think he can change that.

I saw Julian fight several times in person and he was always a favorite of mine.

He had great knockouts to his credit, but I saw him hit Thomas Tate with everything AND the kitchen sink and never stop him at the Las Vegas Hilton.

I'd have Martinez here, by late round stoppage as I don't think Julian one punches him and I don't see Jackson stringing together a combination to get him as I don't think he lands more than one shot at a time on Martinez, and Julian gassed after six rounds.

Once Jackson lands (and he WOULD land, he landed on everybody) I don't have much faith in Maravilla taking it.

Martinez doesn't have a crap chin, but it's far from iron. It's not good enough to withstand Jackson's power.

Yeah but that's irrelevant. Nobody is questioning the fact Jackson hits a lot harder.

Choof. This would look like Jackon-Graham until Jackson finally catches up with him. Then the fight ends.
