It'd be pretty embarrassing for Hatton if he loses. 2 losses to the 2 best fighters of this generation, then a loss to......... Katsidis. I think Hatton will win.
who knows. he took a lot of time off and may just want one more payday. if he's got anything left at all he whips katsidis.
Based on what? Hatton hasn't fought for two and a bit years, and last time he fought he was asleep in the middle of the ring inside five minutes. Since then he has gained several stone in weight and a coke habit. Now, suddenly, because he's shed a few pounds he is going to be bashing people up again like he did SEVEN years ago? I'll believe it when I see it. MTF
If Hatton is properly shot now, from binging since retiring etc, then it wouldn't even surprise me if Katsidis won. Katsidis is still strong and game. Still, I predict Hatton is unshot enough to beat Katsidis.
Katsidis is more shot than Hatton (wasn't that good to start with, just fun), and is the naturally smaller man. Hatton will be fine.
I can't see Burns just doing what he likes with Hatton for 12 rounds as he did with Katsidis. And that was at 135lbs.
Good for Hatton. Cocaine is an expensive drug and Hatton is a heavy user. Hatton realizes that he still can milk some pay days for another 2 years and put some money in the coke fund for the retirement years. He should fight Khan after this fight that should be a nice money fight for him.
Feebles, it will be on SKY, they will make a fortune, everyone will be happy. Khan has never grasped any facet of boxing beyond the money-making aspect of it. Hatton used to understand resumes and fan-popularity and had a firm grasp on the history, but for him, its about a bit of pride and a lot of money. If he beats Katsidis and Khan, he's probably facing into another megabucks payday anyway.
Obviously I am speculating a little, but I can't see Hatton beating Khan at this stage of the game. He was shopworn and tired looking before the Paulie fight, never mind all this time later. Hatton's style and way of living always meant he was not going to have the longevity of someone like Floyd. Quite simply, I thought he was borderline shot four years ago - now, he is likely to be fucking awful. And the idea of Khan running around telling everyone about how 'he beat Hatton' makes me want to spew blood; prime-for-prime it would have been an absolute mismatch. MTF
1st of All, this is a "COMEBACK" Fight, Meaning Hatton is RESUMING his Boxing Career???...Either Way, Katsidis is an AMBITIOUS Choice of Opponent, in REED's Opinion...If NATHAN Else, Katsidis Will Fight HARD as Fuck, Steak & Potatoes Style, Until he CAN'T... Prime for Prime, Hatton DEFECATES Upon Katsidis' PRONE Body, in Less than 3-4 Rounds, but TODAY???... REED:mj:
Agreed, Katsidis isn't very good, and it seems he is now shot-ish, BUT, it has to be said he is game as fuck, and a guy like that is always dangerous. Especially for a guy making a comeback after a big coke/beer/pork pie binge, who could be severely lacking in the hunger/motivation department. Katsidis is the sort of guy that's going to push you and give you a gut check, however scrubby he is. It's possible Hatton just blows him away with bodyshots, but Katsidis isn't the type of guy you want to fight if you don't really want to be in the ring.
