Another stupid fight taken by Adamek. First stupid fight this year was the Chambers fight where he got lucky and now this ? His people are matching him against some of the most low risk high reward fighters out there and it's pretty dumb. They should just forget Klitshkos all together and match Adamek up against Povetkin already a fight where at least it's possible he could win and get some kind of a semi half legitimate title and retire.

Adamek has one of the best resumes in the business and, yes, yet again the HW division is providing decent entertaining fare. What's going on at 147 or 154 these days?

Solis and Povetkin beat Adamek. Bet on it!

Another no big deal fight between nothing special heavies. I really don't think all that much of Adamek, but hopefully he will beat Solis and end the bleating about how good Solis looked for a fraction of a round (his career highlight so far) against Vitali.

The problem with the heavyweight division these days is that there's the Klit's and then there's everyone else WAY below them. So you either enjoy watching the Klit's make short work of everyone they face or you watch the other contenders battle for the number 2 spot.

Not quite. The Klits are almost finished and there is still a palpable lack of urgency. Adamek is the only guy of the bunch who has done what they all should be doing- stay active in close, competitive bouts which have a decent degree of entertainment. And he's a former 175lbr :scratcher: If the others had been doing what he is doing there would be a great deal more interest. Whether it would have been enough to overcome the self-inflicted and unusually timed disinterest of the average American boxing fan is another matter.

Vitali is almost done, Wlad still has some years left. There's no one coming up or boxing at the moment that can beat either Klit. So my statement still stands. Adamek may hold a heavyweight belt after they Klit's leave if he can wait that long.

    Both are now beatable.

Vitali has slowed down and his power is noticeably less which makes getting through the grinder at least possible.

Wlad is still at the top of his game, but his chin has always made him beatable by mortals who have power.

I agree that Adamek has done okay playing the game, but he's not the guy to beat either.

Adamek is an average HW at best.
