UNTHINKABLE GENRE - DRAMA/THRILLER PREMISE - An American born converted Muslim turns terrorist and threatens the US with 3 hidden nukes in 3 unknown cities. He lets himself get captured but refuses to divulge the location of said nukes which are set to detonate in 5 days. The FBI sends in its best agents led by agent Broady (played by Carrie Ann Moss-Trinity from the Matrix) but unfortunately thanks to the Patriot Act this is a military operation. The military decides to send in one of their contracted operatives known as "H" (played by Samuel L. Jackson) whom has already had a recent run in with agent Brody. H's job is to get the information out of the terrorist using any means necessary, and that includes torture. Brody doesn't agree with H's actions and yet H has the utmost respect for her. Will they be able to get the info they need in time? CRITIQUE - I enjoyed this film. As a drama it had some of the nice little things I like. Good acting all around, good dialogue, nice surprises, but most of all Samuel L. Jackson doing Samuel L. Jackson things. Being loud, acting out, going over the top, but most of all the one thing you love about him, and that's being cool. I don't think people realize that it's Jackson's acting style, not so much his ability that make us like him so much and in this one he didn't disappoint, in style or acting ability. They put the terrorist through some hard core torture but it was never really displayed in too bad of way that you won't be able to handle it if you're pretty squeamish. Put it this way, if you can handle Saw or movies of that nature, you'll be okay with this one. Very good film and the replay value is up to snuff. SCORE - 8/10
threads like this are good they advise you on a good movie to download a dvdrip....none of this new movie shit
Yeah. We have a few Netflix threads. But we need an official Gem thread. Nothing mainstream, but just movies that arent new or well known.
Very good movie, hard to watch at times, hate to say anymore without giving anything away for people that haven't seen it.
