They want instead a bout with Floyd or Cotto first. What the WBC says about that since Lara & Martirosyan are fighting an elimination bout for the #1 challenger spot? is Alvarez now a 'silver champion' that can fight whenever he wants with whomever he wants?
Good....hopefully Cotto gets by Trout with little trouble....but what is G gone do? Make Cotto/Floyd vs. Canelo in February or March...or wait all the way to May?
Golden Boy has no say on with whom or when Floyd fights. Money May will decide his next opponent and most likely will be Bradley than Canelo. Cotto is another story. If he beats Trout he could face Canelo on Golden Boy's terms as long as he gets a good purse. Cotto has faded bad and I will not be surprised if Canelo beats him. Still it will be more entertaining than Alvarez vs Mosley.
I'm just pretty pumped to see the Ginge fight Cotto, Floyd, or anyone legit, to see the hype train come screeching to a halt :kidcool:
Canelo will duck Lara too. I think he wants the fight with Cotto. Who knows what Floyd is gonna do. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't fight anymore.
He's not heart broken, but the 3 weeks he spent in prison permanently affected his physique and athletic ability.
Listen, bitch: Fraud will most likely go for a safer opponent if he opts to have one more fight. And Bradley will be an easier opponent than Canelo who always has a puncher's chance.
How often does a guy given only a puncher's chance win though? Canelo can punch, but he's not Shavers like lethal and at the very least Bradley would test Floyd every round.
It can happen...Mike weaver vs John Tate...George Foreman vs Michael Moorer...Simon Brown vs Terry Norris 1
Pointing out a few extreme examples where the loser had a suspect chin doesn't really make your case. Unless he is pretty close to washed up, I don't see Mayweather losing to Canelo.
Exactly, and a puncher's chance is diminished just that much more against a guy who's so hard to hit. No way Bradley beats Floyd either but i think he can still give him a decent go of it like Cotto did.
Unlike Nonito Donaire, Canelo Alvarez Actually IS a Draw & Shouldn't Bother Himself w/LOW Risk-HIGH Regard Foes @ the Moment...He'd Make Several MILLION Facing Floyd OR Cotto, Whereas he MIGHT Cash Out @ a Mil Max, vs Vanes or Lara...Canelo is YOUNG, So There'll Still Be Time to Fight Guys of that Ilk, AFTER he's Explored More Lucrative Options 1st... REED's On Board w/Golden Boy's Decision... REED:hammert:
alvarez already makes several million vs whoever he faces. against mayweather jr he'd get an 8 figure pay day
