...when he takes on Junior Witter on Thursday 1st November (live on boxnation).

Gavin has been in hiding for a while now and has a step up in competition when he takes on Witter, who is now 38. Witter believes he'll ''take out Gavin by the fourth round'' and does not believe he has anything to fear. Gavin on the other hand believes he'll ''outwit'' Witter.

This should be a good fight.

I like this a lot, looking forward to it.

Witter is finished. Not really that credible is it.

    Curtis Woodhouse

Witter will be the toughest opponent Gavin has faced so far.

Frankie Gavin; a shambolic waste of talent.

True, but beating a former WBC light-welter champ and beating him handily could be what Gavin needs to kick start his career, but, if he struggles then it may say a lot about what Gavin has (or hasn't) got to offer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gavin got sparked out and disappeared from boxing

Gavvin could be #1 at 135, if he applied himself, he has the talent.

I hope his problems are behind him and he can dedicate himself 110% to boxing. I think in a couple of his previous fights where he struggled he wasn't mentally right.

    "fun time" :wack:

He'd have done a lot better vs Rios than Murray did, and Murray did OK in bursts.

Nah, Rios wouldn't need 11 rounds if he had been having it all his own way. Gavin would probably lose to a guy like Rios with a 10lb weight advantage, but he'd keep him honest too. Gavin can really fight, he's simply not interested. I saw him go to get his teeth moulded for a gumshield, and the bell end managed to turn it into a session during which the dentist could barely work.

    Messy, pish fight.

Witter should be on that show strictly come dancing and not in a boxing ring on this performance.

Story of his career, frankly. He's always had that horrible Ingle style of larking about, pot-shotting and trying to fight 'slippery'. The result is that he has generally been awful to watch since about forever.

In the later rounds of the Gavin fight he was literally either just standing in one position looking at Gavin doing nowt, or he would switch-stance constantly but not throw anything in a bid to try and prove to Gavin that he was not ''slowing down'' or that he had ''bags of energy'' at his age......well, Junior, you have to actually throw punches too you know :wack:

David Price would bang Witter out.

Gavin has the British title, that's what matters. Here's hoping he keeps busy from now on and improves.
