Is BORICUA TIME! Thomas Dulorme's time to shine! This is a tough fight for both, more so for Dulorme since the young lion has only 16-0 (12 KO) versus the Argentinian Luis Carlos Abregu 33-1 (29 KO) whose only defeat was against Timothy Bradley. But the puertorican already had wins over veteran fighters like Demarcus "Chop Chop' Corley and his amateur record is an impressive 140-2. Go Dulorme!
His not puerto rican..his some kind of 2nd string frenchman fag...but his time in DR and PR have made him into a FIGHTER... He is very aggressive and has a fan friendly style....
He grew up in Puerto Rico since age 7 until now. He has been widely accepted as boricua and he considers himself puertorican even though he was born in St. Martin and lived in Dominican Republic for a couple of years before moving to P.R..
Dulorme!!!:Steve-Dave/MMA::goingmad::Boo: Dulorme was too green to fight a veteran like Abregu. He is still young and can rebounce from this defeat if he doesn't get psychologically damaged by this humulliating/humbling stoppage. Shame to HBO for comparing him to Tito Trinidad.
dulorme has no chin. he aint goin anywhere no matter how long they wait. it aint like the argentine was some banger
Argentina produces some really decent boxers despite boxing being a 3rd string sport over there behind Football and Basketball.
abregu's power doesnt impress me. dulorme is simply chinless. as soon as he got hit he looked dead, his eyeballs started spinning around like a slot machine.
Tell me Hex: is there any good boricua prospect left out there in the island that has championship fabric? I can't think of any era where we didn't have at least two or three boxing champions. Now we don't have any (sorry Danny Garcia doesn't count).
No. At this point I dont know of any prospects in Puerto Rico that has championship fabric. There are a few that have talent but nothing special.
You don't think Abregu is deceptively quick and sneaky? The right hands were placed perfectly and the final left hook was vicious. The Argentines in general have a unique craft.
Yes! I really enjoyed his boxing skills. Puerto Rico needs a new star to take Cotto's place though. Right now there in nobody to fill that void. Miguel only has a few fights left in him.
Gee this is a really sad situation. I always thought that the 'Tito Fever' was going to inspire a new breed of boricua boxers that will shine as bright as Tito & Cotto did. 'Lamento borincano' all over again. ay bendito!:Wah:
Juanma was touted to be the next Star. I always had my doubts. At the end of the day I was right, Juanma was a disaster waiting to happen. Right now we are all waiting on the next Tito to rise and cause havoc. :kidcool:
