Yea, I'm not sure what he hoped to gain from that, my guess is that there was no way he was able to get in shape for the fight without it so he knew he would get popped and knew he was going to retire but just couldn't resist the paycheck before going out. Personally I think it was a bad move by Bonnar, he had a lot of fans going into that fight and that's a terrible way to be remembered on the way out.
Or how about he just got busted.... again. The dude is a known cheat and now it is CLEAR how he deserves to be remembered on the way out. By the way, Dave Herman failed his post fight test as well and is probably gone from the UFC.

No, Herman looked like a werewolf against Struve, he's clearly one of those guys that has a lot of body hair, he just usually shaves before every fight. In that fight, he had his full wolf suit on, I thought it looked kind of cool but I'm sure it was a bit gross to most people. Here's a picture but he had it on back just as thick as the front. Personally I think he's a guy that probably just commonly juices. It's his second positive test. The previous failed test was after the 2nd Griffin fight. Not that it really matters, but I don't buy the idea that he juiced specifically because of fighting Silva. Bonnar is a big 205'er and I'd bet he is a regular user that just got popped twice.

there was an article about whether or not bonnar should be inducted to the ufc hall of fame due to his epic battle vs. griffin its contribution to the sport. i'm assuming that answer is now a definite no. i wonder if he'll still get commentating gigs on espn and fox/fuel.
If I hear Bonnar tested positive for a PED, I assume it is for something to help him cut weight. The pussy penalties for PED use are ridiculous and PED use prevalence is beginning to affect my enjoyment of mma.
