I think as limited as Wach is he's too tall, too tough and has too much range to lose to Tua. It doesn't take much to keep Tua at bay and Wach's weak jab and crosses would prove enough to win a 116-112 type decision. Tua would have some moments but I honestly don't think he could even land effective hooks on the 6'8 Wach.
no matter how good your chin is, you're going down if you get hit often by Tua. And with Wack lack of defense, I don't see how he avoid's Tua big bombs. Tua by ko
Wach does lack defense but on the other hand Tua would not hit him nearly as often as Wlad did. If Wach's chin is actually as good as it seemed on Saturday, then he has a good chance of outworking and jabbing a decision over Tua, but I still would pick Tuaman
INdeed, in fact, you could make him hit like Chris Byrd and I still think he would outpoint Wach pretty easilly
I think it is a question of styles (not to mention my agenda, which somebody will mention next). Tua was clearly better than Wach, but if Tua can't take you out he is in trouble if the opponent can box even a little bit (and or has reach and jab). Now if Wach indeed has a tremendous chin, he does have a shot here. As said, Tua is the favorite since he is far more proven
Average fighters that were much better than Wach though, with way more skill and offensive ability. Rahman and Maskaev's offense are both leagues above Wach. Wach is big and can take a beating, but his offense and boxing ability are almost non existent.
Can Wach move and punch at the same time? Thats about as much boxing ability as it to takes to school Tua
As bad as Wach is he beats Tua. First of the guy indeed has a chin (Wlad hits much harder than Tua) and ontop of that Tua would not at all hit Wach as much as Wlad. I'd be shocked if he managed to land more than a handful of head shots anyway. Wach is literally a foot taller, poor David had to jump up to try and land something on Lennox and Wach is taller than Lennox. As long as Wach doesn't fight on the inside and fights tall he wins. Moving and jabbing and it's done. Just because Wach looked like crap against Wlad doesn't mean he would look like crap against a completely different fighter like Tua. Don't forget that a bunch of people gave Tua problems not just Rahman and Oleg. Even a guy like Jeff Wooden had an extremely close fight with Tua. Byrd on the other hand I have no doubt easily UD's Wach but Tua is no Byrd.
I've only seen the Wlad fight to be fair, if you've seen more then fair enough. Because he mounted no offense against Wlad is irrelevant as its a completely different kind of fight vs Tua. Tua wouldn't win a round or get very brave against Wlad either IMO, and I'd also say if Wach can take the best that Klitschko has to offer he can certainly soak up what Tua lands (which will be less frequent)
