lol their careers are the same, neither one of them fought first ballet hall of famers in their prime. They were both waaaaay too opportunistic in their match making.

Why would we want to get rid of the most exciting fighter in the last 10 years

Seriously, Manny has one of the most exciting styles ever. Why some people don't like him is beyond me.

Because he just like Floyd, plays games when it comes to make the Mayweather fight and is giving us a fight we don't care about right now as we speak.

I'm no Pac fan but that is ridiculous. Pac agreed to a 55-45 split and to all drug testing demands of Floyd. What more do you want him to do ????

Its funny Ive just seen many on tv willing to take 45-55 and all tests. Manny has fought and beat all comers floyd has a history of pricking around.

Floyd is a super talent but a prime manny is the reason we follow the sport.

    Agreed.

Ok he hasn't been great in the last year but manny is the best fighter of the last decade.

Neil's question to those saying Pac was the most exciting fighter in the sport was "when was the last time Pac was in an exciting/rewatchable fight..."

Doesn't seem a big endorsement to answer his question with fights that occured years ago

Yep. Not sure what Puerto is talking about, I think he's gone a bit crazy. Acting like Pacquiao is as much to blame as Floyd is preposterous, especially as Floyd's failed tests have come to light :atu:

Plus the "ridding us of Pacquiao" comment is equally absurd, he says it as if Pacquiao is Spadafora or Winky Wright, I mean really

His recent few fights haven't been great, but he's the most exciting fighter of the decade, and even his recent fights have been more interesting to watch than almost everyone else in the sport.

To be honest I don't re-watch that many fights, but Manny did a number on Cotto

with the help of PEDs and weight chicanery... it bears repeating.

At this point there's more proof Floyd is on PEDs than Pacquiao.

And even with PEDs and making Cotto lose an extra 2 pounds, what other natural featherweight in boxing history would you pick to treat Cotto like a heavybag?

It's still an amazing accomplishment, whatever way you look at it, Pacquiao slapping welterweights around in brutal, 1 sided fashion.

So you have proof of either of these two things? Did Manny fail a drug test? Do you have inside info regarding Cotto's struggle to make 145 for the Manny fight? Cotto himself doesn't even make excuses for that fight.

proof? we know how difficult this type of thing is to "prove"

let's not kid ourselves here... Pacquaio has been on various PED's for YEARS

What other natural featherweight would I pick to beat Cotto? do the featherweights in question get to juice up, mess aorund with catchweights and the like? If so, then there would be plenty of featherweights who were way, way better fighters than Miguel Cotto... with the same cheating options available, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to become 140 pound hard-men and beat up solid, unspectacular welterweights who don't handle pressure very well

because we weren't talking about him?

I'm not a fanboy... I hate both of these cocksuckers and hope they each got knocked fucking cold

You and Mex are known Pac fanboys, the same way that some others here are known Floyd fanboys

I'm a fan of Pac sure, anyone who doesn't like Manny isn't much of a boxing fan.

I'd argue that anyone who thinks rampant PED use and catchweight shenanigans should be overlooked isn't much of a boxing fan
