didn't think it was a great fight personnaly, too much negativity and not enough punchin. But the last 2 rounds were good though. And Buffer fucked up majorly with the scorecards, complety missed the mark as we knew right away it was a draw ( even if it was switched seconds later ). Somethnig someone who gets paid so much for doing something so easy should never do
Yep, Buffer fucked it up reading the draw score first, after which everybody knew what was the result. However, either Buffer read it wrong again (I don't know how it could be 115-112) or Adamek captured SD. Adamek has trouble when his opponent is faster than him, much like Povetkin did against Huck. Cunningham would get wasted by Arreola, whom Adamek beat
Didn't see this one, but have to say I thought the first one was overrated. Maybe people were judging it as a cruiserweight fight.
USS won according to pretty much everyone, but the fight had too many close rounds to be labeled a robbery.
I think Adamek would have been better off losing this fight only because if he actually gets to fight Wladimir he will get seriously hurt. Having said that this fight wasn't nearly as exciting as the first one but it still wasn't all bad. It was okay. Now onto who I think won? I would have been happy with a draw. It was a close fight no matter how you look at it, but Adamek did steal a lot of rounds with flurries in the last 10-15 seconds and he did out land Cunningham 120-80 in power shots so I don't know what everyone is crying about. This was in no way shape or form a robbery. Keep in mind the fight was in Steve's hometown with American judges scoring the bout. I think Adamek mostly won it with his aggression, end of the round flurries and power punches. Not a great fight. Not a bad fight. And not a robbery.
Good post. Agree with everything other than the hometown stuff. Adamek is the house fighter, American or not.
Decent fight. ESPN level stuff but I've seen allot worse recently. I think the judges had it right, but i wasn't watching intently.
I had Steve winning the fight by a couple of points. He beat a kid I trained in the USAF..Steve has been around a while.
