instead of just talking out of our corn holes.. lets look at FACTS!! FACT... The Ghost.. DOMINATED BERTO! before that dominated the world renowned Selcuk Aydin!!! before that dominated Michael Katsidis (who some of you picked to BEAT Floyd) before that DESTROYED Joel Casamayor!! lets not make him out to be a bum! the GHOST is a GHOST LION who could rip of your head and steal your SOULS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:: Who picked Katsidis to beat Floyd? C'mon, show your hands. Petre's been gone a long time, he's the only one I can think of who would even entertain this scenario. He thought De La Hoya beat Floyd 10 rounds to 2............so anything could be possible with him.
Guerrero is almost entirely unproven at any level even approaching that of PBF's. Am I simply complaining about the fact Guerrero has no chance of winning? No. What I'm saying is that whereas a guy like Cotto had shown time and again the ability to compete at the highest level of the sport, and in many cases win, the same cannot be said for Guerrero. And what makes matters worse is that as unproven as Guerrero is overall, his capabilities at 147 are even more in doubt.
I never said Berto would beat PBF. And even if I did, the fact that Berto lost to Ortiz in a fight in which he showed himself to be clueless and lacking skill would've disproven for everyone such a possibility.
come on double cock.. we all know you said Berto would beat Floyd.. and you thought Catslidas would too
not only that, he insisted afterwards that Gatti lost because "he fought the wrong fight"... never mind that he was nowhere near skilled or talented enough to do anything with Mayweather, regardless of tactics
Yep. The only thing more ridiculous than this was how Mayweather was carrying on after the fight like this was some sort of a statement or a career defining win. Asshat.
it was his first pay per view fight and it was a rousing success (for him). name opponent, impressive showing. it established him as a viable pay per view star.
It was an easy & expected win over a paper-title holding opponent who was severely over-matched. And that asshat acts like it was some great accomplishment. He had better wins before and after this over-hyped mismatch.
Yeah that was the worst..... like Ray Leonard falling onto his knees with joy after beating Larry Bonds. What a phoney prick.
better wins sure. and plenty of them, but none bigger to that point in his career as far as helping him cross over to get to the level he is at now notoriety wise.
