    Benitez, for sure

Cervantes illustrated that, at least against the top-class, 140 was a bridge too far for DeJesus

Steven was a mentor to young Wilfred for a decade or so as Papa Gregorio trained and developed both in his backyard gymnasium, and you can see a lot of DeJesus in Wilfred's style.

Junior welter was not Steven's best weight, and Benitez wins a decision here, but Steven gets through with some good shots as he did against Kid Pambele, but Benitez wins a hard-fought decision 11-4 or 10-5.

DeJesus actually decked Cervantes in that fight but it wasn't called, and he only fought Pambele because Duran was afraid of him, and they fought in Duran's hometown of Panama City.

Benitez would force DeJesus to take the lead, which he was less comfortable doing than counterpunching. On top of that, DeJesus was never able to replicate his success in the 1st Duran fight in any subsequent fight against HoF competition.

    I'd take Benitez on points.
