I don't think he will fight 10 more times. I think he has maybe at MOST 2 years left in him. He's a striker that heavily relies on reflexes and speed which means come 38-39 years old he will be just like Chuck Liddell. I see Silva having another good year in 2013 and then early 2014 losing and then losing couple more times before Dana takes him aside and forces him to retire. I see Anderson having 5 more fights with the UFC. Going 3-2

Do you think the match with Kamala will come through? I think Kamala would murder him

I looked it up but didn't see anywhere that they mentioned how much he made. Guess it was too embarrasing of a figure.

Yeah, No Way Anderson Silva has 10 Fights Left in Him...Wouldn't Surprise REED @ All if Dana White had an OUT Clause in the Event of Successive Losses. or Something to That Effect...

Still, Silva Could OWN 185 for Another 2 Years or So, if Bouts w/GSP & Bones Jones Never Materialize...

It's not going to look that impressive on paper, most of his purse is from a % of PPV sales. So as long as he continues to headline PPV's he'll be walking with a couple million per fight. His old contract was something like 200K to fight plus what ever percentage of PPV sales they gave him. If a guy like Josh Koscheck makes enough to live in a nice lake house, own boats, a ton of cars and a friggin plane, I'm pretty sure Anderson is doing alright.

Something tells me Anderson Silva is doing ok lol, but yeah, I don't see 10 more fights but who knows. Like REED said, if he mainly stays at 185 he could easily own the division for 2 more years, maybe more...

Yep, I think it's a fair guess that Anderson Silva is the most highly compensated fighter in MMA by a wide margin. I'm sure he's embarrased by that.

I think it's a way to make sure Anderson retires on the UFC payroll. Smart move by both parties in my opinion.

I agree with you guys that he doesn't have 10 fights left. He's not a young guy.

Sure but he's 37 years old with a pretty athletic style. Punishment or not, it's hard to see him keeping it up for another 10 fights.

I agree with you, Trp, I almost think its a move by the UFC saying you can stay as long as you like pretty much.

    SMART Move by UFC...

Another Factor is, How Much Looooooooooonger Bones Jones Makse 205???...If Not ALREADY, Dude is Bound to Start having DIFFICULTIES Making Weight, in the Next Couple Years...

If Bones Moves Up, Silva will Undoubtedly Look to Take Over Lightheavy, Which would Prolooooooooong his Career...
