I'm looking forward to this as I'm a huge Diaz fan. Unfortunately if you can't stop the power double, you ain't beating GSP. And for all the wrestlers that have come and gone thru Cesar Gracie's gym, the Diaz brothers haven't improved their takedown defense. It's worse with Nick because he hasn't faced a good wrestler since Sherk way back in 2006. Hell even BJ Penn was able to take him down with relative ease until he tired. I love Nick Diaz and hope he can manage a sub from his back, but this is a difficult fight for him.
Well said man. The double-leg is gonna be a bitch for Diaz. If GSP gets brave, Diaz may be able to thump him a few times, but that's a big if. I hope it's not a Hardy-esque takedown fest.
I am right there with you man. If I was Diaz, I would bring in three to five top wrestlers that are naturally bigger and stronger than Diaz and just train stopping the double till this fight is on. Sonnen available?? serious though, I'd be on the horn bringing in top flight wrestling takedown machines. If Diaz keeps this standing, he wins. If he doesn't, he loses. Simple as that.
Crap fight. The most boring champ in UFC history vs. a one dimensional pillow fisted stoner who has no business getting a title shot. This fight will look exactly like Henderson\Nate, except even more one sided. TFK
