Broner takes Castillo here on points. With Castillo, you gotta be careful to not hurt your hands or break them on this guy, and he can be hurt underneath. Broner moves and steers Jose into his shots enough and gets out of the way of most of the counters to cop a 12 round decision here, and rips in some nice left hooks to the body in the inevitable infighting due to the constant pressure of Castillo.
Mayweather barely beat Castillo the first time (though he did), you gotta favour him to get the better of diet-Floyd. Right now anyway.
Let's just say this much. Is Broner as skilled/fast/overall talented as younger Floyd? No. BUT..... he does hit harder. And Castillo wasn't the hardest guy to find. So, I would favor Castillo at this point, but I wouldn't say it's a foregone conclusion.
Mayweather wasn't 100% against Castillo the first time. I don't think it follows that because Castillo gave a good account of himself against an injured Floyd that he would necessarily beat a healthy Broner. .. Having said that, he probably does beat Broner regardless.
