As most probably know, these two were supposed to fight in '67 but then Herbert Muhammad ducked the bout. In '71 Wilt refused. Cus d'Amato was supposed to train Wilt and he said that with six months of training Wilt would be ready for the fight. D'Amato also assumed that Chamberlain's chances of victory would have been pretty good. What do you think? Chamberlain had huge edge in reach and power and probably had more stamina too. Would Ali's slight edge in skill have prevailed?
Ali would have toyed with Wilt for show. If he wanted to get serious he'd take him out any time he pleased.
Don't forget that Chamberlain would have trained with d'Amato so he would have had great head movement and bob-and-view style
So this means something because he's 7 feet tall ? Valuev was 7 feet too and he would absolutely murder rape and gangabang Chamberlain. At the same time Ali destroys Valuev so imagine what he does to Chamberlain. This whole thing was a publicity stunt and it's understandable but the fact that some people wonder what would happen makes me shake my head.
I assume you haven't heard Arnold Schwarzenegger telling how he saw Wilt do tricep extensions with 170 lbs while other strong guys in the gym could only do 120 lbs. Whatever he hits, he destroys
