So what if X posted his picture and credentials and it turned out his name was Marvin Hagler and he was undisputed Middleweight champion for 7 years... would it then be alright with you if he made fun of Diaz on a message board?

Marvin Hagler could make fun of anyone and no one could do anything about it.

He knocked out a guy I used to train with named Wilford Scypion who was a former National Champion and had whipped Curtis Parker, among others.

I never thought anyone could go through that guy like Marvin did, and the best advice I can give anyone is to leave Hagler alone.

No, Wilford was a middleweight and I was a bantamweight.

His primary trainer was Kenny Weldon at Galena Park, and I went there to be trained by Termite Watkins for the fall and we trained at the same time.

We fought on the same card together in 1978 when we both won, I can't recall whom he beat but I beat Go Go Navarro who later fought Jeff Fenech for the world featherweight title.

Wilford's son is now an active fighter, though I have not had any contact with him for years and don't know how he's doing, but Scypion was always a nice guy to me and generous with his time and advice in the gym to the younger fighters and looked to be a future world champion at one time had it not been for Marvin at the top.

Karl, on a serious note. You come across as a SUPER insecure guy, which is why everybody so enjoys clowning you.

    I'm 174 now, brother.

Getting ready to spar a former three time world champion next month, gonna be back at 170 for that one.

    Sure it is.

Christy could tear you up, Neil.

I'm not gonna reveal it here who it is, but the guy was an outstanding fighter.

You don't have the guts to get in the ring with even him.

No, but that's a good guess.

I really can't right now until I work a few things out with him and I don't know if he'd want me telling everyone.

I have a great deal of respect for what he has accomplished in boxing, but I should put up a video clip in the next couple of months or so.

At 52 going on 53, I'm not in the mood to take a drubbing right now, but I have always believed in suffering for one's art so it's really not that big a deal.

Most guys my age would never dare partake in something like this and confine their athletic pursuits to golf, but I know my way around the ring pretty good so I'll just have to continue to train when I can and wait and see what transpires with it.

damn...your still posting in this forum?

    who else is still here?

Boxing for me is borderline unwatchable these days with only a handful of people worth watching...But even those guys cant be tested with the lack of good fighters

    I watch MMA now

    just so you guys know

Yeah man, still holding it down... always down to talk some boxing.

Still plenty of good fights, but yeah, it's not what it once was. I still love it though.

I don't know you, but I applaud your courage in coming out of the closet. Can't be easy, even in this enlightened day & age.
