Who wins, how and why? I see this as a realistic option for Khan and winnable. He's been saying he wants to move up to 147.
I'd favor Alexander. I think he's tough enough to handle Khan's flurries and is a good enough boxer to time him with some hard counters in return.
Maybe but it ain't gonna help his defense. Good fighters dont get caught blind with their chin in the air like that button mashing simian.
Garcia isn't a puncher either and Alexander is a bigger guy. I think he probably hits at least as hard as Garcia.
Khan probably wins this. More handspeedz, more button mashing workrate, more heart. After getting handspeeded for a few rounds, Alexander won't fancy the job anymore, like against Braddles.
Choof..listen...you..I am not beating about the bush but you cannot cover the sky with your hand, knowamsayin?
You giving Khan too much credit because Judah's chin isn't half bad...I think memories of the chicken dance of the Tszyu fight is hard to put down. But Judah went 11-12 rounds with Cotto punching in the face for the previous 4-5 rounds...he went 12 with Floyd punching him at will..he went 9-10 rounds with Clottey bullying him...KHAN would not go that many round with any of those guys.... Khan has a glass chin....but retarded will power.. Judah has an average chin...but as the fight get's tougher his heart stop pumping blood and replaces it with kool aid...yeah i said it whiskey kool fucking aid..
there's a world of difference between being a puncher and being a ko artist. Ben tackie wasn't koing anyone worth a damn, but he had crazy power
Yeah, and if anything Garcia is more on the KO artist side, seeing as he has good timing and manages to hit people flush in every fight and lands punches that change the course of the fight. He has good pop, better than his record suggests, but he's not one of the best punchers in the sport.
Punching is a question of mentality as much as anything else. A snake won't kill anyone unless it bites them. Vitali doesn't sit down on his punches because he doesn't want to do himself an injury. Lewis pawed and posed when he ought to have let his shots go. Slapsie Maxie, anyone?? Who punches harder, Julian Letterlough or Bob Foster? Floyd has limited power but is an excellent finisher. Probably hits as hard as Pacquaio in many regards, the difference being Pac is geared towards the KO. I like the Tackie example. He was so limited he couldn't get his punches off, but he did hurt Ricky Hatton when Hatton had very few miles on the clock.
Again, it could be a question of mentality. The Urango KO was pretty good, as Maxie Pad Kellerman was quick to point out. I think Alexanders problem is he's not got the bottle anymore to stand in the so-called "Pocket" and let it go. Especially against a button masher like Khan where Alexander will be dealing with a high output while waiting to find a gap.
