how many punches did it take for Wlad to finally get knocked out? You make it seem like he just collapsed and died from 1 punch. It took a blizzard of bombs from those guys to put him out. Check those fights out again when you're sober. Also floyd rarely got hit. It's a testament to his great speed and defense, much like Roy's. It only took a bit over a decade for the world to finally realize that Roy had no chin whatsoever. Floyd's chin is still a question mark. You think Roy had a chin just because he didn't get KO'd by John Ruiz? Roy even took a few Ruiz shots. It doesn't mean Roy had a chin. He just saw the sh*t coming. It's when you don't see the sh*t coming is when your chin is tested. Lennox Lewis is another example.
The point is Wlad has fought just about everyone that was available at any given time. Thats my point. He had a nemesis and made the fight. Floyd "Money" May did not. I would argue that there is sound merit in that. I would also point out that once again he seemed to come out of that with less credit than he ought have, pressing, as he did, the action all night as yet another opponent looked for a way out. All these guys feed off the same old "logic", that WK is a slow, chinless, heartless robot. Soon as they step in the ring, they realize otherwise and start to stink the joint out.
:: I just caught this. I'll kick your Hindi arse mate. :: Remember Roy Jones? "Wlad cannot fight from the downside". Well Wlad remembered that and in 2005, just before the Sam Peter fight, asked what had become of Jones. Bottom line is Wlad never laid down on the canvas for more than 10 seconds from just one punch. He always got up. It's beyond me why people don't forgive him the Purritty loss. He was outweighed by 20lbs, he punched himself out against a guy who had gone the distance with Corrie Sanders, Tommy Morisson etc {i.e. a guy not given to being knocked out} and he was trying to put on a show for his hometown fans. He fucked up, Made a mistake. In fact, his losses lack a common thread, other than that they were all his. ::
I suspected it since the Julio Gonzales fight, only because Gonzales hit Roy with a vaguely reasonable shot and I saw him go completely crosseyed, even though he looked composed. I think I mentioned it on secondsout and practically got run outta the joint.
Floyd has been hit hard on quite a few occasions by blind shots and has never been stopped or anything remotely close... he has an excellent chin The first good shot from Sanders had wald pussy doing the drunken fish routine... his chin is horrible watch some fights from either guy when you have a clue what you are watching
Yeah, let me know when Floyd ever gets hit by a guy like 6'5, 240lb Corrie Sanders, you dumb motherf*cking faggot! ::
cumdogg, Floyd has no chin. He's like Roy Jones except smarter. He sees it all coming. Once those reflexes decline and a real puncher nails him, the old man's gonna crumble. But then again, who is floyd even fighting nowadays? Who are all these useless no-talent bums he's digging up? :: Where are the prime Tyson, prime Lennox level fighters in his division? Where's the competition in his weight class? There is none! Who the f*ck is Guerrero anyway? :: Wasn't he selling meat from a truck in Miami once?
Floyd has at least an above average chin. He's been rocked a couple times, but not close to being stopped.
wald pussy can't be blamed, but also hasn't fought the only good heavyweight since Lennox Lewis (his brother)
yeah, boxing has no real good fighters. Even Lennox was starting to lose motivation in fighting the best comp when he decided to dodge Chris Byrd and then Vitali. The Vitali fight only happened because Kirk Johnson pulled out otherwise Lennox probably would've retired on the Kirk Johnson fight or probably looked toward a Tyson rematch and made a few more millions. Lennox could've booked a Wlad fight immediately after beating Tyson instead of wasting a whole crucial year of his career. Would've been good if Lewis had crushed Ruiz too and taken the WBA title.
sure, I guess 3 of the top 5 fighters in the post Lewis era (save the Klithsko bros obviously) aren't good enough for Wlad resume athetic:
reminds me when dubblechin claimed henry akinwande was a better fighter than ricardo lopez, because he could kick his ass if they fought
Wladimir Klitschko, also known as "Wlad", successfully defended his heavy weight title this past weekend.
