June 29, Manchester Arena. Gavin Rees-Anthony Crolla on the undercard.

Haye should beat Charr handily. I have a gut feeling Crolla beats Rees even though Rees is a step up in class from Crolla. Feel it could be the right time to catch Rees even though Crolla's been in some battles lately.

Typical Haye. Following a Klitschko around by fighting his scraps and then claiming he "improved" on their performance. Its a sham. I think the brothers should just run the clock down on him, retire and leave him to fight for chump change and eventually take a beating from some unknown.

In the meantime, Charr will probably extend Haye beyond 4 rounds. Charr is big enough, stocky enough and compact enough to get close and make it a few rounds. He's probably better than the version of Chisora that Haye fought.

Yeah, I think Charr goes more than 4 too and makes life somewhat uncomfortable for the toeminator.

For All of his CHARISMA & POTENTIAL, David Haye is Essentially a Klitschko NUTRIDER...Only, Haye Rides in REVERSE, like HATERS Do...

Instead of Climbing through the Ranks & EARNING a Shot (Which he SHOULD, After that TOEtal Failure of a "Performance" vs. Wlad), Haye's Hoping to TALK his Way Into it...He's Taking the Path of LEAST Resistance, by Doing this...Hell, Deontay Wilder just "Improved" upon Haye's Win Over FRAUDley; Fight Him???...Fight Tyson Fury??...Fight Price??...

Haye FRUSTRATES REED Because Dude has GENUINE Star QUALITY & TALENT, but he's Obviously UNWILLING to Do Whatever it Takes to FULFILL it...

Exactly. I was a fan of Haye's when he was a cruiserweight, heck, I am still his fan but he isn't making it easy with his behavior.

I find Charr as bit surprising choice for Haye tbh. It is no surprise that Charr isn't dangerous at all, but he has no marketability either (the way Chisora had or even David Price could have) since Charr is unknown, his style is boring and when he fights, he looks like a fat guy in bath

to be fair, all Haye's fights with guys under 6'5 have actually been exciting. he's another modern fighter who 'doesn't deserve' to get beat up tho

Haye will knock Charr dead, IMO.

Remember folks; David is in reality a beefed-up Light Heavyweight who has been able to beat most of these much naturally bigger guys he has gone up against.

Similar odds have been conquered in the past by Ezzard Charles, Jimmy Ellis and Michael Spinks, but most of these fighters David fights are far bigger than their opposition was.

REED was a TAD Disappointed, when Haye Moved Up from Crusier...Fights w/Adamek, Cunningham & Others Still Loomed...Nonetheless, REED Got Over it & was Intrigued by Haye's Path To the Fight w/Wlad...

On Fightnight, Wlad Showed Up, Haye Didn't...REED Can't Think of Many Excuses FLIMSIER than a "Fractured Pinky Toe", yet Haye has Been Steadfast & UNAPOLOGETIC in Clinging to it...By Comparison, Jon "Bones" Jones Completely MANGLED his BIG Toe (EXPOSING Bone & Everything), Last Saturday Night, yet Still WON his Fight...

Injuries Aside, There's a New Crop of Young, Hungry, Confident, Undefeated Heavyweights Who've Expressed Interest in Fighting Haye...Haye "Doesn't Deserve" the Right to Take the EASY Road to a Klitschko Related RE, in Fact, REED Would EXPECT Haye to 1nce Again Go Out MEEKLY & Offer Up a Post-Fight Excuse...

Haye Needs to PROVE Himself Again...w/his FISTS, Not his Mouf....

Haye Fights to Keep his BANK ACCOUNT in Good Standing...He Fights INFREQUENTLY, vs. SUBPAR Opposition, in Hopes of CASHING IN Yet Again, w/a Klit fight...

Dude Should Be Fighting 3 Times a Year, Knocking Off Every Real or Perceived Threat to the Klits, in to REESTABLISH himself, but that'll Never Happen...

Unfortunately, Haye has turned this schtick into a goldmine that was never possible at cruiserweight.

I'd echo what a few others have said really. I was a very big Haye fan in his cruiserweight days; he was fun all the way up to his loss to Thompson and he rebuilt the only way he could by beating fuck out of whoever he fought until he got his shot at Mormeck. His fight with Mormeck was a real tear-up and Haye came through it well. I had no problem with his move to HW, or his demands to fight a Klit; he was a unified CW champ moving up with legit punching power and was IMO therefore entitled to bypass a lot of the route to a title shot. Unfortunately, he has since turned into a complete bore - his 'performance' against Wlad, his toe, his 'retirement' and his refusal to fight anyone half decent means that although I watch his fights I can't root for him anymore and always hope he gets sparked.

Sadly, there is little chance of that happening here. Charr is as game as fuck and can take a really good punch but Haye will just tee off on him until the fight is either stopped by the ref of Charr goes down once to often. It's pitiful that Haye is fighting this big daft lump when there are several other young up-and-comers who would make for a far better test of his credentials. As mikE says, though, Haye has no motivation to change - this schtick has made him a millionaire an he remains a huge draw in the UK, despite all of the above.

    Choof.

Haye knows that he is only ever one bad performance away from a loss or from stinking out the joint. He is desperate to retire with his "looks" intact and with his brains intact and with all his money. This is all perfectly acceptable, and the boxer who doesn't respect himself need not expect to get respected by anyone else.

However, he won't fight often, he won't string together the sort of wins that are needed to get genuine respect and to have the public rooting for you.

He prefers to ride the coat tails and that is something that the press should pick up on more often.

It's a good thing, because Charr was about to leave Haye looking for love in Luxembourg by Lent
