No wonder Chunky shamelessly ducked Adonis.

I alway's knew Adonis was a bit more than a bum beater and that he was talented, but didn't expect him to be a really solid force at the world level. Tonight victory may still not make him one (after all, he didn't showed much more than one big punch), but he has to be taken way way more seriously now. Even better, it makes the 175lbs a really interesting division, especially if someone can get rid of geriatric Hopkins (wich I am fan, but the entertainement value of his fights, with a few excpetions, have been near 0 for a while). Cloud, Pascal, Stevenson, Shumenov, Kovalev, Cleverly,... all of these guy's may not be elite, but they are hitable and makes for entertaing fights

I though Chunky looked pretty good in slaughtering Demers. Sure Demers wasn't ever really good, and at this stage of his career, was a gimme, but he showed some things that I liked. Still, as of now, he's a long way from even thinking about sharing the ring with a killer like Stevenson

Also, as a perk for us, it bring the 175lb title back to Canada... hopefully that means more big fights at Centre Bell

Stick a fork in my boy Chad. Shame. I admit, I always thought he was far better than what he turned out to be.

Still, it's safe to say he's FAR diminished at this point than the version of him that beat Adamek years ago.

Stick a fork in Angulo as well. Doubtful he's ever gonna recover from a broken orbital bone. He performed very well, and was able to to catch and drop Lara twice, but in the end he just ran into too many straight lefts, and it fucked up his face/eye.

And Maidana KO'd that bum Lopez as I suspected.

I thought Dawson blew for a long time, but I am surprised he was blasted out in a round

    WTF?

There was nothing wrong with the stoppage, and I'm a Chad fan.

    He was gone.

His legs seemed gone but his eyes were fine to me. I know I'm in the minority on this one but I would have liked to see it go on, with the ref looking closely, even though I highly doubt Dawson would have made it out of the next minute

All it proves is Adonis has real power and Chad is even worse than I gave him credit for

The winner of Pascal-Bute would be obviously a natural. I know Stevenson would fight Bute anytime, but for Pacal, I'm worried their friendship would get in the way (I'm kind of speculating because, while I do know they're at least acquiantance, I'm not sure they're close enough to be considered friends).

175 is gash. It is wide open for a fighter with just a bit of quality to come in and clean right up.

I always knew Doorson fucking sucked, this result doesnt even surprise me.

It seems a shame about Angulo actually, I havent seen the fight yet bit it seems he performed better than expected. We all thought he'd get dominated by a guy he doesn't match up well against at all.

And for some reason I like Lopez, picking him against caveman boy was more wishful thinking. Gotta admit I am surprised a 140 pounder was almost able to duplicate what Canelo did to Lopez

I think Chad should hang em up. His heart is not in it anymore and I don't wanna see him get hurt.

Angulo probably won't recover much like Margarito. It was a great fight too, such a shame.

Gamboa I was never too impressed by and always thought he was another Zab Judah. All athleticism and reflexes. Just never faced anyone who would have exposed it. His career never really took off either.

I think Maidana may very well get a shot at Mayweather next year after this performance.

just watched the Dawson KO again. Love that left hand he landed :bears:

That was a massive statement. Talk of Bellew-Stevenson next, but I'd rather see Cleverly-Stevenson.

Not sure how good or bad Stevenson is. Bellew is pretty average, he's a bit like Barker when it comes to world level. Game lad but lacks dem skills

It reminded me of McCalls celebrations when he stopped Lennox. Pretty much identical actually, he even done the point and "I told you so" thing
