Being an OPTIMISTIC Sort, REED was TRYING to Give JuanMa a SLIGHT Chance of Winning...But Considering Mikey Garcia was WELL OVER the Weight Limit, he'll END the Fight Fairly Early.... Garcia by TKO, 3rd-4th MAX... REED:shadow:
Even with the weight advantage i would be impressed if he can KO Juan Ma. Im expecting a tough fight for Garcia but expect him to win a decision.
I think people are underestimating Lopez a bit here. While I expect him to lose, I thinmk he will make a competitive fight
Garcia is very talented and the way he destroyed JuanMa tonight is impressive, despite the fact that JuanMa was ruined by the two Salido ass whuppings. For the record though, no version of Lopez would beat Garcia. I wanna see Garcia vs Donaire at 126, but it's doubtful Mikey would make the weight. Garcia would destroy the big earned Pinoy and I'd enjoy every moment of it. Crawford looks like the real deal, and looks like the best lightweight in the world. He's a very good blend of skill, speed, and power. It's a shame Broner left 135, cause Crawford would be by FAR his biggest test at 135. Crawford would have a MUCH better chance of beating Broner than Paulie has. But Crawford definitely appears to have the skill to possibly be a top dog at 135-140 in the coming years. With young talent in the sport like Crawford, Garcia, Broner, and Canelo, those who say boxing is dying are tards.
If Gamboa drops back down to 130 (which he should, he's too small for 135) then that would definitely be a great fight to make. How Gamboa's looked lately, I'd have to favor Garcia. Gamboa's likely peaked already.
i'd favor garcia too. i think garcia clips him w/ a hook and stops him. but then again, gamboa's offensively good when he turns it on. it's an interesting fight. not sure what's up w/ roberto garcia and his fighters not making weight. does he not give a shit?
He's overrated as shit as a trainer, but then again, a guy he has like Rios simply doesn't have the natural talent/skill that Mikey has. How much heart Garcia has is really gonna be the question. Thing is, I don't think there's anyone at 126-130 good enough to even test his heart right now. Gamboa has physical talent, but it seems there's something lacking mentally. He doesn't know how to use his talent, which is a sign of a fighter who lacks ring IQ.
Yeah, certainly a great fight. I'd also favor Garcia as Gamboa makes too many mistakes. There will be a lot of openings which isn't good against a calculating puncher like Garcia.
Garcia would beat the shit out of Gamboa. Fitty cents promotion would be finished if that fight gets made.
Yeah. I didn't give him a chance to win other than the 1% lucky first round assault. But he was even more shit than usual.
Wasn't Salido starting to get to Garcia when he bowed out with a broken nose? There were probably 1001 ex-fighters questioning him at that moment right there. The kid is super-talented but his own camp seems to take advantage of every situation they can with him. Whether it's stopping the fight, knowing it's going to the scorecards, or coming in overweight.
JuanMa always reminded me of a bobble head doll, the way he sticks his chin out on his front foot, just begging for somebody to land an uppercut and break the swivel off his neck. He needs to quit. That brain is bouncing around in there way too much when he gets hit.
Lest we Forget, JuanMa Lopez has Only Lost to 2 People in his Career...33 Wins, 30 by KO, Some of Which have Come Against Pretty DECENT Fighters... w/Out Question, Last Nights Loss was CRIPPLING, but Talks of RETIREMENT or Relegating JuanMa to "BUM" Status is PREMATURE...He Needs to Take Some Time Away from the Game, RE-Group & Make 1 Last Run @ This....Re-Build from a "Friday Night Fights"/ Spanish Channel Level, RE-Establish Yourself as a World Class Fighter, then RE-Insert Yourself into the World Title Picture... JuanMa May Be CHARRED Around the Edges, but he's NOT Completely DONE, Just Yet... REED:mj:
I honestly think it's all downhill from here for him. Fighters with his style don't make comebacks once they start to slide. I think he's permanently damaged. He's doing things in there that make me think his brain is not cooperating with him anymore. Sure, he can go on a bum of the month tour and knock out a bunch of guys in the first round before coming back for another title shot, but I don't think it's in his best interest. Take the extra 150 grand he got from Mikey Garcia, invest it in an IRA and call it day.
Nope, JuanMa's pretty done. No defense whatsoever + mediocre chin + diminished quickness and snap = Finished.
X is right....Juanma is DONE...has been done for a while now. He is too dumb and slow..might still be able to pull a minor upset if the opponent comes in sleeping...but otherwise he is FUCKED. He is slow, doesn't jab, throws that slooow as lead right hook...weaken chin...brain damage...it's OVER for him... He could've extended his careers if he had change up his trainers, learn how to jab and box a bit behind it...but NOPE he fight straight up, throws that right hook get counter all day...
He sure went out on his shield. Rather than accept a slow death or quit on his stool, he went for it and got drilled for his bravery. Which is why most guys don't choose to go out that way. Very glad he got the nice bonus for Garcia not making weight. Presumably, his manager did a good job on that aspect. Matching him up with Garcia in the first place is perhaps somewhat suspect, but being on HBO with a title at stake and as the main event more than trumps that tough matchmaking decision.
