Golovkins only weakness is he is a little on the short side......a little on the small side. Guys like Chavez Jr, retaining 20lbs of mass, could give him problems simply on the size aspect. But in terms of skill and talent, he is light years ahead of them..

    You're a retard, he's not even Russian.

And any middleweight you fancy beating him, I'll gladly take your bet.

Jesus Christ. This guy has to earn respect now. I'm with cdogg, Martinez would get beaten handily.

Prime MArtinez would have been a fight, this version of him, with age, long layoff and injuries got basically no chance

You made some silly point about his hands being low ignoring that he picked them up whenever he was in punching range. It looks like you are just dissenting just for the sake of it.

he's calm and relaxed, cuts off the ring exceptionally well and he hits like a truck

He will beat the dogshit out of Martinez

I forgot about this fight for some reason and then was looking for stream. When i found one i just heard Lamps talking about Golovkin winning by body punch KO. Guess i'll wait an hour or so and download it when available.

Absolutely. He is a small middleweight, he's even said he can make 154.

Definitely... I think he beats any Martinez, but it would have been a much taller order with the Martinez of a couple of years ago... He's ready to be taken at this point

Yeah, and I've also asked him, any middleweight he whose chances he fancies against Gaybox, I'll bet money with him.

Gaybox beats any middleweight in the world right now, comfortably.

thats a big accomplishment considering the middleweight division is dogshit.....i thought you were an old school boxing fan....you should be ashamed of yourself trying to pass this guy off as some great fighter

having said that...lets see him against Peter Quillin who is nothing special himself....that might be the only decent fighter he will have fought

I'll still take Martinez if they fight, he's older but it'll be the toughest fight of his career, I'd expect him to rise to the occasion and he definitely has the tools to win the fight.

Golovking {TM at Irish 2002/2003} would fight Gatti's ghost, drop him three times and then stop him on cuts.

That would be a very foolish pick. I am a Martinez fan but he's almost there for the taking now, I doubt he'd even be competitive against Gaybox.

He obviously favors Quillin's blackness over him.

It's because he's a Spaniard, and they are big fans of blackness over there.

Who says I'm doing that at all? You said it yourself, the division is terrible... I'm saying this guy is the best in it by a long ways... how is that saying he's a "great" fighter?

Peter Quillin? did you watch this fight?

People said that about Hopkins 6 years ago too.

People said that about Leonard when he fought Hagler.

People said it about Ali when he fought Foreman.

    Etcetra.

I don't doubt Sergio has at least one great performance left in him...there's nothing to suggest he's washed up or shot. That intangible greatness shines though a lot harder when you are facing some fresh face who's never faced adversity before.

I did my research and apparently this Qullin guy isn't even a slickster, I think Pizza whatever just went on boxrec and found the first black fighter he could find.
