GGG because Mathysse didn't stop Judah.

Tough call... I understand steve_dave's point completely, but I think it might be overshadowed by A) the complete decimation of Peterson and B) Judah's ability to be an extremely negative fighter when he's in trouble (which he certainly was down the stretch of that fight)

And destroying Peterson is more impressive than destroying Macklin. GGG was expected to do what he did last night. Few thought that Lucas would go through Peterson in 3.

Yeah, fair. GGG is also WAY better than Lucas...so he'll always be better at knocking guys out even if he doesn't have more natural power.

Yeah, he's much more innately talented... Lucas has to get it done with a basic, gritty, disciplined approach

Yes, obviously GGG has more talent and skill.

    Raw power is debatable though.

That first left hook he dropped Peterson with makes me think the answer to this question might be Lucas.

I'm sure Martinez would rather have a big money fight against somebody like Floyd (who wouldn't) but i don't know that's he's scurred of GGG. Would love to see it though, certainly the best fight that can be made @ 160.

I think it'd be more intriguing if it were the Martinez of 3 years ago fighting GGG.

At this point, I'd be pretty shocked if Martinez didn't get KO'd.

I doubt Martinez is scared. His decision makers definitely are.

Yeah, I'm probably selling Maravilla short. He's a very confident guy.

    Danny Swift is scared though.

Power is a factor of two things

    1. Power
    2. Ability to land/Skills to land.

It's the old "if a tree falls and nobody is there to hear it" analogy.

If you dont have the skills to land it, you effectively don't have it.

Golovkin is the bigger puncher because he can cut the ring off, is economical and husbands his shots well.

    Not necessarily.

I'd say Trinidad was a more precise, and economical puncher than Julian Jackson. But was he a bigger puncher? Hell no.

I get what you're saying, but it doesn't ALWAYS work that way.

Probably give a slight edge to Lucas actually. Gaybox is obviously a lot better though.

What you're saying is better puncher. Better puncher doesn't always mean bigger.

    bingo, beat me to it

Danny Lopez is the hardest punching Featherweight I've ever seen... effortless, stupid, crushing, retarded power with his long, bony right hand... dudes fell like they had been shot in the head when he landed it flush... I guarantee that, as hard as Alexis Arguello hit at 126, Lopez had greater one-shot power... Who's the better puncher? Alexis by miles... why? SKILLS...

If Golovkin was to spark Froch out, that would be a massive statement. Nobody knocks Froch out.

I love Golovkin. All round great to watch. I like his chances against Froch but is it not inevitable that he'd have to ship a few shots in order to his off? Froch's rangy jab could also pose a problem too. Golovkin's skilful, accurate and powerful, but Froch's pretty handy himself.
