    In all honesty

I don't think Quillin fits the mold of a slick black fighter. However he does have some tools to use....decent power, speed, and most importantly good length and size.

Gaybox has fought tailor made fighters up until now that sit in front of him so I would like to see how he handles someone like Peter. I favor Peter to win because I think he will land first and more. Gaybox has tremendous power but I think he is a little too flat footed for my liking.

I think Golovkin is much better at judging distance than people believe, and better timing than what most believe also.

I'd rate Eubank over DM, personally (if he were on the list)

There are reasons to pick other guys, but I agree, Calzaghe is the guy who provides the most evidence.

"record amount" of Super Middle title defenses sounds a lot more impressive to say than it really was. It's not like it's a long time division with tons of history and let's not even get into the quality (or lack thereof) of his title defense victims.

You are the only person who I have ever seen suggest that Jones wasn't finished at the time of the Calzaghe fight. It's really odd to even see someone try to make the case that he wasn't. Even the most huggy of Calzaghe nuthuggers hasn't gone there. Congrats...I think.

Even though you said this sarcastically, it's the most correct statement you have made so far in this topic.

A shot Roy knocked Calzaghe down because Calzaghe was overrated and would never beat Roy in his prime

Maybe you should stick to sarcasm...

Quillin's balance is a J-Taylor like mess but he's sure got brutal power, short & long. The answer to 'who's the harder puncher GGG or Lucas'? is probably 'Quillin', imo.

Seriously Hut, you think Peter hits harder than Gaybox?

Who would you pick if that fight happens?

But yeah. my impression is Quillin has more raw power than GGG, but GGG is a more precise puncher.

GGG is overall a more dangerous hitter i'd say

You guys want to make it sound like Roy Jones was a walking corpse in the ring. My definition of a shot fighter is different then yours I guess. For me a shot fighter is Sugar Ray getting into the ring against Hector Macho Camacho and getting blown out

Roy Jones in his last 4 fights was competitive against Tarver the world light heavy weight champ and then Roy easily beat 3 average guys after. Does not sound like MY definition of a shot fighter since he actually had some good moments even in the Calzaghe fight. However, I will clearly admit that Roy Jones was clearly past his best as a fighter and it's obvious!!! Much more past his prime then Calzaghe!!! Read that last part....much more past his prime!!!

Now what I have an issue is some guys saying Calzaghe was in his prime. I clearly stated how that cannot be possible when from age 25 to what 34 years old he fought at 168. No but all of a sudden when he actually has to move up a weight class to fight bigger guys at what age 35 that's his prime years? Sorry but some posters here can't have it every way they want.

Why not just examine Calzaghe for a second

    Handspeed is very good
    Workrate is very good
    Chin is above average
recovery from being Hurt is excellent
    excellent stamina
    Good physical strength
    confident which means mentally strong
    good footwork
    face doesn't get damaged easily
    can box or brawl

Then we saw the type of career he ended up having which was a hall of fame so we know how good he became....so this is all why Calzaghe is my pick to give Roy Jones his most difficult fight at 168

all the other fighters mentioned on this list were weak in certain areas where I felt Roy could exploit rather easily...Calzaghe is the most balanced of all of them

Interesting. Quillin looks to have respectable power for sure, but I don't get the impression he has even as much raw power as Gaybox. Part of Gayboxes effectiveness does come from his excellent timing, accuracy, and punch picking - but he does seem to have pretty brutal, effortless power to go with it. Even his jabs are fucking meaty.

Quillin seems to keep discombobulating people with cuffing blows. He just looks really, really heavy handed.... Sonny Liston type ploughing, messy power. I think Golovkin would KO him truth to tell but i'd be supporting Quillin all the way
