Roy didn't get anything like the respect he warranted in that production. (except from Eubank, who said everything like it was).

I've known the Eubanks since I was a kid, and never got the hate for Chris. He's a bit odd and a bit of a prat, but he's a good guy. He is also an excellent fighter, underrated.

Manfredo had a bemused look on his face like "okay, I know I'm a pretty average fighter and I'm probably not going to win, but could I least lose the fight fairly?"

I can't believe anyone with EYES (unless,of course, there is an agenda involved), would think Jones wasn't shot at that point in his career. Jones was absolutely finished when he fought Calzaghe, and it was embarrassing for Calzaghe to even take that fight.

Jones was not competitive against Tarver in their rubber match. Again...people with eyes know this. He "fought" to survive. Pop in a tape of Jones from that fight and Jones his best days.

Maybe he should have trained not to be a punching bag and he was undeserving of any title shot anyhow so lets not cry a river for him

I think most people would prefer for him to be mauled for 8 rounds or so anyhow

Whatever. Calzaghe couldn't knock out a prepubescent boy with oesteoperosis.

How can you be a punching bag if a guy is throwing 100 shots at you and landing about 6?

Sure, but I've not had as tough a life as a kid with oesteoperosis, I'd give up easier

Maybe he should have been given a fair shot, no matter what the end result might have been. Oh, wait...that might be too much to ask.

That was my thought as well. The "finishing" sequence of "punches" from Calzaghe in that fight was a joke.

A table of guys pretending Jones wasn't the best of the bunch by far. Jones too nice to point it out.

Too scared to speak up. Just like he was too scared to fight any of those guys. Joe eventually chased him down and beat him up.

I liked Roy's reaction to Collins stating James Toney was the most talented during that time.

I understand Collins bias because he and James were at the Wildcard at the same time. I wonder if Collins and Toney sparred...if so, I'm sure James hung a beating on him.

Calzaghe didn't come off as a prick either. He was respectable. Joe knows he couldn't have beaten Roy in his prime. He knows he fought Roy at the only moment in either guy's career he could have won.

"My mum, who was always too afraid to watch me fight, would be annoyed if I went back in the ring but I'm more concerned about my youngest son Connor.

"He came into my dressing room before the Roy Jones fight crying his heart out because he saw me get knocked down against Bernard Hopkins a couple of months earlier.

"He had also spent the Jones build-up watching footage of Jones' glory years, when he was at his peak, on You Tube.

"Connor was sobbing 'dad, he is amazing' and I tried to reassure him 'don't worry son, Jones isn't that good anymore.'

Didn't know you could read people's minds from a video....incredible talent you got there

You had it right the first time. Joe isn't a prick...he could have accused Collins of ducking him which is essentially what he did.

And he could have rubbed it in on Roy Jones all meeting long for dominating him but he didn't do that either...what is funny is that Calzaghe pretty much beat everyone at the table. Only Collins ducked him.
