Steve Kim was been tweeting this is pretty much a done deal. If true this is probably the best PPV card in a decade or so.

That would be phenomenal. I remember some of Don King's cards growing up that were deep and forgot how fun they were at the time.

This one if it happens will double the planned alcohol intake for that night.

Yeah, honestly, I can't think of a comparable PPV undercard matchup since the 90s.

I know there have been solid cards, but the last time I remember being totally psyched for a card I had to leave the house to see, was Hopkins-Trinidad with Ricardo Lopez on the same card. That was eons ago. I was fucking hammered when I got to Dania Jai-Alai, drank their $1.00 drafts and proceeded to insult Puerto Rican people.

It's Be a VERY PLEASANT Surprise, But REED Feels there's NOfuckingCHANCE in Hell Matttthhhhyyyyysssseee - Garcia Happens on the Floyd-Canelo Undercard...If it Did, they'd Charge $100.00 PER PPV Household....

Mattttthhhhhyyyssseee - Garcia Does DECENT Attendance on its Own, in the Northeast...Placing it on the Floyd-Canelo Undercard Seems Tooooooooooooo GOOD to BE True....

I heard the price for this card has already been set at $75 (HD). But wouldn't it bring you back to the days of seeing a card "closed circuit" that featured fights held under sunlight at the beginning of the broadcast?

I'll believe this joint card when I see it too, but damn that would be a great night for a fan.

I dig. Boxing is usually one letdown followed by another. Just passing this info along. Kim is credible as a reporter.

Kim has been retweeting somebody called the boxing oracle who claims its done. i never saw him say he believed so himself.

im calling bullshit since the guy claiming to be the oracle is named powell not rossman

It will do okay in the NY, Philly, Ac anywhere in the northeast....but showcasing Matthysee on the biggest PPV in history would do a whole lot of good for everyone involved. If Matthysee is victorious and look like a bomber then after one or two more fights on HBO/SHOWTIME cards..they might throw him back in the PPV scene...maybe as the main eventer...

This PPV will make soo much money that all promotional companies involved can throw/showcase their best fighters going up against somewhat TOP competition...and improve their marketability.

If Mathysse vs. Garcia happens on it's own card...nobody outside of us will care much for it...regardless of how AWESOME it is....

it makes sense to put this on the undercard if it can draw in another 40,000 plus buyers from hardcore fans who mightve otherwise stole the card. not to mention if there is an impressive victory by other guy they are immediately propelled into contention for mayweather jr's may foe.

Be really nice to see two interesting matches on one card

I'm very confident in both Matthhhyyyssseee and Mayweather emerging victorious but the opponents are respectable guys, the most logical guys for each to face right now, so I'm pumped to watch the fights

Oh, and like always, I am absolutely stealing this card on the internet

Nobody is worth $59 to me on a fucking television set

Unless a time machine is invented and a card with Whitaker/Duran, Foster/Charles, Hagler/Monzon and Robinson/Leonard gets made, I'm not shelling out that much loot to watch TV in my home

we alway's hear about some awesome matchup on a ppv undercard and they basically never materialize. I don't expect this one to be any different but if so, it would be the first PPV I buy in a long time (provding I find a job since then :blackcloud:)

In the era of easy streams thats bonkers. If there's a good PPv here I'm usually all for buying it and chilling, but PPvs here are like a third the price - I'd stream every time at that price.

Absolutely, it'd Be like the "Good Ol' Days" Again...Highly Anticipated Main Events w/STACKED Undercards...It'd EASILY B the Best PPV Card in the Last 10 Years, as Steven-David Said....

Garcia vs Matthyssee is a main event on its own. A fight for supremacy at 140 with belts on the line. I don't see that as an undercard fight.

No way does this go on an undercard even a Mayweather one.

Yep, I hear you on the great premise, but small likelihood it comes off.

I really do miss the days when my family would have loads of people over the house to watch stacked cards. We'd be doing cash pools on all of the fights and just had a great time. Kudos to the promoters and the sport if this card comes to fruition.

I'd be very (pleasantly) surprised if this was an undercard fight. In this era, it is too good a fight not to be a main PPV event I think.

Additionally, the cost of PPV's in the US is ridiculous. I wouldn't pay that amount to watch anything other than epoch defining fights (by which I mean Ali-Fraser type fights). Fucking sixty bar to watch flid? :shit:

Agreed. Added irony in the fact that Floyd never took on the biggest threats at 140 when he was there himself.
