Solis is facing the dangerous Yakup Saglam 29-2 (26), who has only lost to Manuel Charr and some novice
I'm on the motherfucker. Solis might be the least offensive fat heavyweight since Tubbs i think in my mind
Solis won the first round by actually throwing some punches, like ten of them or so. His hands are quick, he just doesn't like boxing very much. Saglam looks to be in good condition, too bad that the only punch he has is a right hand haymaker from 5 ft out
Solis took the second round too, bothering to throw a combination even and easily moving back when Saglam throws his homerun swing. Not a great fight so far
Solis has an excellent punching technique and he is quick, his left uppercut was impressive. Solis lands whenever he punches, though it is not very often
Solis lands on beltline, Saglam bitches to the ref and then hits blatantly low in the 4th. This might get fun
Agreed but he's flat out too fat....it's like he has a tank of water in his midrift, sloshing around, throwing him off balance, planting him to the ground. If he goes over on his knee again i won't be surprised.
I don't think his balance is a problem here and also he still moves quick. The problem is that he clearly doesn't train at all, his pace is poor and his timing is often off, in his last fight he struggled with a god-awful Norwegian who simply threw arm punches at him. Ref warns them both to fight before the round, then cautions Saglam again during the round
Saglam actually took the sixth. After ref's nagging he began to pump his jab and Solis could do nothing
Solis is supposed to fight Pulev next, if Pulev can get past Thompson. Pulev is nothing great, but he should be both with ease
